Lovely stay, pool was warm, bed comfortable, clean room, good selection in bar

Large room and friendly staff. This is the second time we’ve stayed and both times the pool and spas have been out of action. Very disappointed that we were not offered anything by way of compensation.

Room was fine but the bed a bit hard. Staff were fantastic. Have stayed before and never had any problems. Lovely place to relax. Pool is small but there is a sauna and jacuzzi. The steam room was shut.

When we arrived we paid for an upgrade that should have cost £10.00. The next day £15.00 was taken from my bank. When we spoke to the manager, she said it would be returned, this has yet to happen. The room was stifling hot, even in November with the windows open. We asked for and were provided with a noisy fan, which helped a little. The bed was probably one of the most uncomfortable we’ve attempted to sleep in, the assistant manager agreed that they were awful. We were looking forward to a well earned break, without the children, and chose this hotel for its Spa and Pool facilities. On evening one, we needed to avoid the pool due to classes taking place. On morning two, we were asked to vacate the pool for yet more swim classes! All of the above points were discussed with the manager at the time of checking-out. She explained that she has no authority to return any monies etc, even the overcharge payment. Apparently, the boss won’t give that level of autonomy, even to the manager, which we found rather odd, clearly a lack of trust between owner and staff. We would use this hotel as our regular place if we had been treated better. Very disappointing stay, very disappointed with the staff, and very disappointed with the lack of use of the Spa facilities.

The room was absolutely disgusting Very dusty had to clean the bath before i could use it. Carpet had stains and was very poor condition Shower curtain was disgusting and should have been put in a bin Definitely not value.for money

Parking easy and close to entrance

Safe and plenty of parking. Clean and quiet. Staff friendly and helpful.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, always service with a smile 😊. Ample parking, the room was clean and spacious. Great value for money with the use of the pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. Defo would come back again. Great place ❤️

Brilliant Hotel and great Staff

Breakfast was Luke warm at best, staff moaning setting up for a wedding. Spa closed. Not worth the extra money

Check-in room. #15 right above party room .music sound ended midnight made us cant sleep at all. We required change room even worse in room #58 with life roach on bed. End up move to room. #45. This is my worse experience in travelling life.

The hotel is stunning, the staff are lovely, However, the day i stayed there was a huge wedding going on and i wished i knew this before i booked! Had Noice, arguing throughout the night, kids running up and down outside my room, then a fire alarm got set off at 5 something in the morning! So I literally had no sleep, so I just got changed and just left! I asked the receptionist why the alarm went off for ages in my room? She replied, sorry one of the residents from the wedding party decided to have a hot shower and steamed his room up!! I emailed the hotel to have a little rant , but they just apologised without any further action! So obviously I wasn’t very happy and thought it’s sad, I really liked the hotel, but because what happened and the outcome, I won’t be experiencing that again and will be choosing somewhere else for my regular stays now. The wedding was on a Friday and went on until the early hours! It’s a massive shame because it’s a stunning hotel.

We're repeat visitors but love the charm of this period building and surrounding grounds. Friendly and helpful staff, large well equipped rooms, really love the pool and facilities
