The hotel was clean,fresh & modern looking with excellent facilities. Comfortable beds & pillows. Was a little bit too hot in room & you couldn't open the windows any further due to the restraint at the bottom of the window. Some sort of air conditioning or fan would be nice especially n the room during the hot summer days as it's difficult to get off to sleep in the heat.The staff are all helpful & very pleasant. The breakfast was nice too with plenty to choose from. All in all had a lovely 3 days stay to see my son.😃😃

Before booking our two rooms for two nights, I called the hotel specifically to ask whether there were any restrictions on pool access. I was told there were none. When we arrived on the Friday evening with time to use the pool, we were informed that children's hours operated differently and we had missed the permitted window. This directly contradicted what we'd been told on the phone. When my wife raised this calmly at reception, pointing out that I had called ahead to ask exactly this question, the receptionist said: "Am I meant to check if you've got your whole family coming and tell you what the grandma swimming times are?" We were also told that the restrictions exist for the benefit of health club members and, while I understand the commercial rationale, as paying hotel guests that's a difficult thing to be told. My children were particularly affected - they'd been very much looking forward to the pool, and being turned away because members take precedence made them feel unwelcome. That's not an experience I'd associate with a hotel that calls itself "Elite". The pool was a deciding factor in choosing Daresbury Park over alternatives. We'd called ahead precisely to avoid this situation. We had cancelled our booking at the Liverpool Novotel because of their time restrictions, and had not booked at the Crowne Plaza for the same reason. Both of those options would have been much more convenient, and we'll defintely book one of those next time instead.

Lovely room, it was marked as a club room and being cosy but it was spacious and looked newly refurbished. Needed the blinds to be down and half closed in our room to give us some privacy, as the window looked out into the busy main glass corridor which disected the external courtyard. Ate in the bar area and the food was freshly cooked and delicious. Staff were freindly and very helpful. Only downside was someone decided to play loud music 12pm to 1am. Otherwise we were both impressed way better than we were expecting.

The hotel has a lovely setting and a surprisingly peaceful outside space. The only fault I can report is that the room was stuffy and airless. I recommend the provision of a portable fan.

Very pleasantly surprised by all aspects of the hotel. Very clean, the pool was quiet, everything was working, the jacuzzi nice and "strong", the steam room nice and hot with a eucalyptus scent. The changing room was very tidy and clean. We will be back

We stayed here for daresbury festival on 20th June, the hotel was so nice and the rooms were spotless, sadly we didn’t get to appreciate the amenities as no sooner had we checked in we were out again to the festival, if we book again for next year we’ll makesure we allow plenty of time to use the facilities.

Upon arrival, I was asked to pay £10 for an early check-in and a further £30 for an upgrade (also higher price than if I decided to do it online!), despite the hotel appearing relatively quiet. As a Gold member, I am used to a more customer-focused approach and, where available, complimentary upgrades. What surprised me most was being charged £3 for a small tube of toothpaste. In over 40 years of travelling, this is the first time I have been asked to pay separately for such a basic guest amenity, particularly when there were no convenient shops nearby. When calling the Manager the day after he decided not to charge! The food offering was also disappointing. Before an afternoon business meeting, I was hoping to have a proper lunch at the hotel, only to discover that the restaurant did not open until 3:00 PM. The only option available was a sandwich, which felt inadequate for a hotel positioning itself at this level. The hotel itself is newly renovated, but hospitality is about more than the building. Small gestures, flexibility, and guest service make the difference, and unfortunately this stay felt more focused on additional charges than on customer experience.

I was welcomed by reception and everything was explained very well even down to directions to my room. Evening was busy in the bar as football on and not many places to sit. Ordered food and was taking a while but explained that the kitchen had had a lot of orders in. Overall a very pleasant stay

We booked this trip as a birthday weekend, but the experience was far below basic standards. When we arrived, there was no heating in the room, and the sheets were damp, meaning we had no choice but to sleep on them. When we questioned this, we were given two completely different explanations by staff. The following night we were moved to another room, but again the heating was not on, and we were still unable to control the radiator. When I walked in on the evening to the hotel it was read hot in reception for the staff but no heating in rooms. At the moment I have a low immune system following a recent operation, and had I been told the truth at check‑in, I would have booked alternative accommodation. Instead, we were left in cold, damp conditions for two nights. As a result, both of us have returned home with chest infections, requiring time off work and a visit to the doctor. Although a room change was offered, it did not resolve the issue, and the lack of honesty from staff meant we were unable to make an informed decision. This has spoilt our holiday, impacted our health, and caused further disruption once home. I feel so week at the minute but feel so strongly about this matter as I would never had booked it if I had known

Great hotel for a business stay. Room very clean and well decorated. Only gripe, and it is a very small one, is that although my meal in the restaurant was very good, the restaurant is too bright which makes it very unwelcoming. Tables in bar are very low so not suitable for dining. Would recommend they turn down the glaring lights in the restaurant so it is less like a motorway service station and more agreeable.

Had a comfortable stay. The room was spacious. We used the pool & jacuzzi - all very clean. The only downside to the stay was the coffee bar - there was limited choice and the person serving obviously had no barista training, so the coffee was only moderate
