Just a stop off for the ferry so not much to say

Always love our stay here. Premier spot on the waterfront. Close to everything.

The location of this property made it the sole reason for booking. I booked 3 rooms and the difference between one room and the others was significant. I was surprised they charged the same amount for the one room that clearly was smaller compared to the other two. Two of the rooms were in the newer part of the hotel, which meant larger rooms, level flooring and closets that were accessible without having to close one item to open another. The far inferior room was located in the older part of the building. This room had unlevel flooring which made it harder for an elderly person with depth perception to navigate. The door to the room opened up almost immediately into the bed for the room. The bathrooms in all three rooms were gorgeous and huge. However in the significantly smaller room, it should have been considered to make the bathroom slightly smaller in order to navigate the main part of the room without fear of bumping or tripping into something. Now I know my elderly parent should have complained in the moment but they didn’t want to make a scene. Thus, I am writing this review to let others know that DO NOT book a room in the older part of this building as the rooms are way too small and you feel completely ripped off as you will pay the same price for the very small room as you will for the much larger rooms. This hotel needs to price the rooms accordingly as one does not equal the other on size and therefore should not on price.

Very comfortable, quick check-in. Reasonable food choice. Gym but no pool. 10 mins from Dover Ferry check-in however the road got logged surprisingly quickly! Leave over an hour travel.

The food let this hotel down, the staff tried, but an hour and a half plus waiting for food because the kitchen couldn’t cope! Then it arrived cold and appalling quality. The staff did make up for this, but should not have been needed

Reception nice, room relatively nice. Bed comfortable. Bathroom was new and nicely done, but terrible smell of sewage. When we reported it to reception on check out they just said “okay I’ll make a note” - no apology at all.

The hotel has a beautiful view of the ocean and is around the corner from the city center.

This is the loveliest hotel on the planet - the staff from rear house - cleaners (the hotel is immaculately kept clean by some wonderful cleaning staff) to bar to reception to managers- the Dover Marina Hotel I am proud to say is my go to sanctuary and let alone their wonderful healing spa with the most amazing Sri Lankan massages and treatments this hotel is my total reset place and without it I’d be lost ❤️

This property has a great deal is character. As I believe it is an older property it does come with some inconveniences such as small rooms for price and a painful slow and tiny elevator. But overall it is great value for money and is the best located hotel in Dover in my opinion.

We would stay here again, was a great experience

This was an interesting place to stay. It is a refurbished building from the Victorian Era...and has odd features. The elevator (lift) was tiny. The stairs didn't "line up" on various floors. The hallways were small with low ceilings and uneven floors. A storm hit while we were staying there which led to water flooding many parts of the hotel (luckily, not our room)...which triggered the fire alarm several times during the night. The location was close to the beach...but not very close to many of the local attractions. The one thing that the staff was very good at was getting cabs.

Within close proximity to cruise port. Hotel also provides storage for luggage on the morning of the cruise if you wish to explore the area before boarding the ship. The breakfast at the hotel is expensive though so we elected to go elsewhere.

The Best Western was great, Gary on the front desk went out of his way to assist us and we really appreciated that. Thanks Guys, Phil.

Beautiful historic building on the beach in Dover, between the cruise port and the ferry port. Nice clean rooms, recently upgraded. Nice pub. But the best was the staff, friendly, efficient, effective service, always making you feel welcome
