Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Seamless process. Great parking facilities. Received the warmest of welcomes by their truly dedicated staff. Quality fixtures, fittings and facilities. Lovely shower, ethical toiletries. Really comfortable bed. I honestly cannot recommend Great North Hotel highly enough and can wait to return. 5 star establishment at 3 star prices!! Phenomenal!!

The room was very clean, spacious and quiet.
Bed was large and comfortable.
Shower was incredible, warm and spacious.
Managed to get free charging for our EV.

Extremely reasonably priced, wasn’t sure what to expect for the price, so we were very impressed with the quality of the hotel and the great food in the restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

I had an issue on my first night with noisy neighbours (the rooms definitely aren't sound proofed as stated!) and when I spoke to the receptionist the following morning he dealt with the issue very professionally and sympathetically, and after being moved to an upgraded much quieter room, the rest of my stay was lovely.
The breakfast options were excellent and very good value for money, and the poached eggs were perfect!!

There was an 18th birthday party in one of the function rooms, and some of those attending were staying in the hotel. They were extremely noisy all night, and inconsiderate of other hotel guests. It would have been better if those guests were kept to one floor, and anyone staying on the same floor should be warned. We barely slept.
The room was spacious with the usual amenities; iron, hairdryer, tea/coffee, toiletries. However, the shower heads were filthy with black mould. They either need deep cleaned or completely replaced.
The staff were friendly enough, but we didn't interact with the staff other than to check in and out.

Lovely modern, comfortable, clean hotel. Room was spacious and cool. Bed was big and very comfortable. Very quiet and plenty of parking. Staff are all very welcoming. We drank in the pub and had food from Pizza Dough, all good and reasonably priced. We have stayed before and am sure we will stay again.

Thank you very much for a relaxing stay. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly, the room was clean (thanks to Neli) and stocked with lovely necessities such as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash & hand cream - among other items to make our stay comfortable. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and found it to be relatively quiet. The info pack in the room was very informative. We booked in for the breakfast and enjoyed a hot option and buffet options. There is an onsite restaurant if needed. The car park was big and we didn't have any trouble finding a place to park. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again if in town. Many thanks again 😊

Had dinner in the 3 mile bar and it was lovely and reasonably priced. If you have a blue light card you can get a 20% discount on food.
Bed was comfortable and having air con in the room a real bonus in the hot weather.

I stayed in this hotel for only two nights and i was suitibly impressed, at check in the staff at reception were brilliant they explained every thing even sorted my phone out to recieve the free wifi. My room was on the second floor so i used the lift , i do have to say the corridors are like a rabbit warren i walked passed my room twice before i realised where it was, i did that a few times after being out the room its self was immaculate shower room was clean what a fantastic shower i could have stopped under that for hours ha ha ha, however i did find the room a bit dark but thats nowt major. Over all a smashing place will definetly be back maybe for a bit longer. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Quick check in. Pleasant staff. Very, tidy, modern comfortable room. We ate at the Pizza Dough restaurant which is in the same building as the hotel. Pizza was 1 of the best i had and reasonably priced. There is a soft play area there for young children as well. Very easy to get a bus/taxi up to Gosforth High St or into town for a night out which we done. Highly recommend
