Very family oriented hotel The food is superb and the staff exceptional Full English in the morning is hard to say no to been here a few times now and it is one of my favourite places to stay

Lovely inn in a quiet corner. Very nice staff and a hearty breakfast.

Nice old character pub with modern facilities. Food was great and not over priced.

Very friendly staff and locals. Felt very comfortable. The lady bar manager could not have been more helpful. The guy who served breakfast ( South African ) was extremely polite and attentive. I’d go back if I was ever in the area again.

I used this as a stopover, to get south of Birmingham. A very pleasant surprise from the hotel in Pershore that I usually use for this purpose. Much more economical and the food is just as good. The room rate also includes breakfast,

We arrived early on our first day to enjoy meals from the lunch time menu. Both means were excellent, generous portions that were well cooked and presented. The waitress being very friendly and helpful. The check in however was not a pleasant experience, embarrassing to say the least.In front of several customers in the bar area we were asked to pay for our stay. We explained that the payment had left our bank account the day before even showing her the pending amount on our mobile bank account. We were told that as it was not showing on their system we hadn't paid and that the pending amount only meant that it was what we owed. A more senior member of staff, who may have been a manageress or owner, not sure, was tapping away on her phone and without saying a word just nodded her approval to the one checking us in.( a private area would be better) Without any apology we were then showed to our room, which was basic, but in need of maintenance and cleaning. The curtain hold backs of one window had come unfixed and were lying on the window cill, the room would benefit from redecorating and the radiator bleeding. The shower room looks good but showing its age with stained grouting especially the base and those areas hard to get to. The bed was so high that it was very difficult to get on to. Only staying one night ,didnt want a battle so we did not raise any issues with the manageress, who was stoned faced with no warmth or feeling as we didnt want to spoil our weekend.

A great base for exploring the area. Lovely staff, excellent room, great food.

Newly refurbished downstairs. Parking good. Staff friendly. Only ate breakfast which was ok. Bathroom recently refurbished but had some issues which had to be sorted by staff. Not ideal at nearly 9.00 p.m. Bedroom itself dated.

Great location, nice and quiet. Friendly service. Lovely breakfast bag each morning (no food was being served as the place is being extensively renovated). Comfy bed. Loved the shower! Would definitely recommend staying here.

The property was undergoing major renovations so only the accommodation was available. The room was very comfortable and room amenities good. We hope to enjoy the rest of the facilities when we visit next year to see how the renovations turned out and taste the food (which other guests had reviewed as really good).
