What Guests Say About Their Stay

All staff we came across seemed happy & friendly. Check-in was easy. The parking is limited, it’s a rarity to have onsite parking in Eastbourne but we managed to bag a space, but the hotel does try it hardest for patrons to get parked in their car park. Our room was spacious and clean. We were seeing a show at the Congress Theatre which was literally across the road, so we were perfectly placed. The promenade and town were an easy nice walk to. The bandstand and Wish Tower were also close by. Breakfast was great and our server was lovely, nothing was too much trouble (sorry we didn’t get your name), but kudos to you 🙂 Overall a very good experience for our first trip to Eastbourne

My husband and I were on the way to Brighton and we decided to spend the night in Eastbourne. I have to say, this was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in! The staff were absolutely wonderful, and I can’t remember the name of the chap who was on the desk when we arrived, but he was so welcoming and so funny we really felt at ease. The room was massive and the shower facilities were amazing. The water pressure and hot water fell almost luxurious.. I always worry a little bit about hotel beds and how comfortable they will be. This was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. We had an excellent night sleep. The breakfast in the morning was great really tasty and the dining room staff were really nice and friendly as well. Parking was a little bit of an issue because the parking lot was full. We managed to squeeze into a space and the guy in the front desk offered to move our car if it needed to be moved so it wasn’t really an issue but just in case it’s busy, you might want to get there early to secure a space. The Location was also really good. It’s opposite the art gallery and cinema and there is a wonderful Italian restaurant down the road from the hotel there is another strong recommendation. If we ever go back to Eastbourne, we will most definitely go back to this hotel.

Chose the hotel because it offered parking and EV charging. When arrived found that the number of parking spaces are not sufficient for the number of rooms if every guest has a car. Helpful chap on reception kindly sorted out car charging for us and then moved the car elsewhere each night. Need to leave car keys with reception overnight so that they can play a game of tetris to enable drivers to leave when they want to. Good location, and breakfast was good, but the hotel could really do with a complete refresh as the decor is very tired. Stayed over a bank holiday weekend so expect prices to be high but this hotel is very expensive. Also, when I tried to call the hotel to ask about charging etc was unable to get through as the number provided on the booking confirmation was constantly engaged.

We have stayed at this hotel several times before. It’s a great location in Eastbourne. The bed was clean and fresh and the breakfast very tasty. However, it is very tired. Our room was very disappointing- damp on the ceiling, one light fitting in the en-suite was hanging out of the ceiling and 2 other down lighting bulbs did not work. There was no heating in the room and it was needed. Also, there was no BBC on the very small and inefficient TV.

Excellent location - close to The Towner, theatres, local shops and restaurants and the beachfront. Quiet at night. Room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfy. Lounge areas welcoming and well-positioned. Staff at breakfast forgetful and slow. We had an issue with a hair in my breakfast muffin. There was an apology but no offer to bring me anything else. Otherwise, the cooked breakfast was of a good standard; cooked perfectly and served hot, on a hot plate.
