Good overall

Excellent service. Tasty evening meal. Superb breakfast. Good location to visit the town. Parking is a challenge before 6pm and after 8am in the street due to restrictions. Don't use the school car park as I was told to do. Room was small and hot but managed to open the window after the restaurant closed due to extraction vent. A lot of light even with curtains closed but quite after 11pm. Shower cubicle could have been cleaner . Comfortable bed. Good food and fab staff made the stay for me.

When I arrived (late not early) they had forgot to make up the room. The staff were great and changed the bed right away and looked after me in the pub while i waited. However when i got to room the floor was dirty and was vomit over the toilet. Morning staff were friendly and helpful and overall the room was comfortable. Just a real shame I had such a poor welcome.

Great location with several bars & restaurants within a short walk, parking just a short walk away from 5pm to 9am. Room was clean & bathroom spacious a good large shower cubical. Breakfast was freshly cooked & very nice to start the day with. When back in area will be on my list to stay again.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was on the ground floor on the street side, however I was not disturbed and slept very well. The breakfast was cooked to order and arrived hot and well presented. If in the area, I would definitely stay there again.

Quirky and comfortable

Place is a little dated and it was noisy at night due to being over the pub and also busy in the morning with it being on a main road. No car park but on street parking up to 8am. Staff were very friendly though and made our stay.

Have stayed here multiple times over the last 5yrs. The staff are always great, the breakfast are nice & simple, the rooms are always immaculately clean. However the condition of the rooms are now a disappointment with liquid stains splattered and dripped down the walls. A good redecoration is needed.

A nice place to stay. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and comfy. Unfortunately the member of staff on arrival could have been more welcoming (maybe a smile?).

Booked as got stuck on the A303, nice staff, great breakfast and hard to argue with the price. My only minor criticism is being 6’3 the light they’d fitted to the single room was basically at face height so I cracked my head a couple of times getting in and out of bed. Otherwise would recommend for a cheap stay.

The room floors were dirty, there were no washcloths and the facilities are outdated. It is convenient for Wellington town but it is definitely not a desirable neighborhood.

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable single bedroom, with en-suite. Nice breakfast with a choice of hot options.

It was a stop over. We had to park in a public car park over the road for a small price. We were a bit nervous of leaving our holiday car in the car park. We shared 3 generous starters for a very reasonable light supper. Our breakfast was equally generous and very well cooked. The cooked breakfast was the main thing. Not so much choice aside from it.
