Hilton Helsinki Strand

Location of hotel was decent, short walk from tourist attractions. Room did not come with hotel slippers which had to be requested for. Room was also quite small with a lack of hangers. Problem with the room was the air conditioning which could not be adjusted properly as we were told that it was centrally controlled (only allowed for +-1 degrees changes). In winter when we visited, this resulted in the room being extremely cold. We requested for help on this at the front desk but there was not much that could be done.

Great stay at Hilton - Strand. The staff were friendly, rooms were clean and amenities were good too. There was a great variety at breakfast as well which catered for all.

Beautiful water front view, a little away from food; but walkable Indoor sauna is great; super pleasant/helpful front desk

Nice room and good breakfast but the pool was really cold and not that clean

The hotel itself & its staff are wonderful. The only drawback is there’s road construction on one side of the hotel so when you take transport to the city, you have to take a route that’s not direct. If you’re walking, no problem. Bed was comfortable. The staff are friendly & courteous - especially Hasan.

Very good hotel well placed (currently refurbishing the local tramlines, so likely to improve soon). Really friendly and helpful staff in all depts, excellent breakfast, spacious bedrooms. Very minor points, room curtains hard to draw, sink needed new plug, no complimentary water bottles in room but good quality tap water available. Stayed for 5 nights. Not considered an economy hotel, but felt the price for B&B, sea view, with King Size bed and bath as well as shower was good value for money in what is generally an expensive city. Would recommend soap/shampoo holders in bath were lowered to facilt less able clients. Quite close (walking or bus to old city centre and railway station).

The front desk staff members were super helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic. We really enjoyed the stay and highly recommended.

The hotel was comfortable and the staff were nice. The location is very central in the city and there is easy access to the metro.

Room is spacious. All is updated and in good conditions.

We stayed for one night. We have arrived just before midnight, and hotel reception was very helpful explaining all about hotel amenities. We had the best breakfast ever , choice is incredible! Our kids and us had a varied choices from smoked salmon to maple syrup pancakes and healthy fruit / smoothie choices. Although we didn’t use , but hotel has swimming pool and sauna onsite. Our kids absolutely loved the glass lift :) became a big attraction while in hotel. We also have asked if we could check out a little later , and were allowed to stay in the room until 4pm fee of charge - it was so helpful as we were traveling by night train to Lapland what day and having a relaxing day was very useful
