We loved this hotel—the vibe, the staff, the atmosphere—it worked. The rooms are small but very comfortable, gorgeous, and dark. Check-in was simple and efficient. The pool area was great. The air conditioning was not working. It was terribly hot in the room, making it impossible to sleep. However we couldn't open the windows due to the constant stream of mosquitos coming in. Apparently the aircon was faulty throughout the hotel. They couldn't offer us a fan - nor did they apologise the next morning when I informed the receptionist that we couldn't sleep at all due to the heat. The very least you expect in a hotel is to be able to sleep. Désolé seems to be the hardest word...
