Hotel Karlshorst

The toilet was missing the flush and didn't work properly, on the first night the door to the balcony would not close properly (we managed to force it to shut), the receptionist asked us for €23 despite taxes supposedly being covered in the initial booking. Only good things was the location and the price.

Room was extremely warm and had 0 airflow even when the window was open, WiFi did not work in the room at all, we were third floor which could’ve been the issue. Bed was like sleeping on a rock. Location was in a good spot very easy to get to the main parts of Berlin. Nothing to nice about it but the hotel is cheap which is a plus

Odd access after 10pm. Must take the stairs. Building is slightly outdated. Very friendly staff for any requests. Located on a great street.

Basic but decent hotel on the outskirts of Berlin, with decent transport links to centre. Room was clean but bed was hard. Didn't try the breakfast. Lift to rooms but this closes at night (11ish).

Great small independent hotel in the eastern suburbs. Very good public transport links from hotel to key attractions across Berlin and the Airport. Some nice eating choices near by. The Karlshorst Museum is also close to hotel which is worth a visit in its own right.

Very spacious room apart from the shower which was quite small. Very nice bed. Only a short walk to the train station and it’s in a very nice area

Excellent location - grocery store and train are super close. Comfortable and good value for money spent.

great hotel

The room was very clean and the bed was comfy. No tea/coffee facilities as they sell it in the bar area. The area was pleasant and quiet.

Very poor shower and terrible hair dryer

Service was quite bad! Horrible as there was no chance for us to get into our room as the key card didn’t work, and we tried to call reception and no one was there, despite us telling them we’d be there late.

Good value for money on a budget

Nice sized room with a comfortable bed. Not much in the way of storage. No air con so it was very humid at times as Berlin had a heatwave at the time of our stay. Karlshorst S-Bahn was a five minute walk away and there were a number restaurants on the main drag that the hotel was situated on. Unfortunately, the main road was extremely busy with traffic, trams and emergency vehicles. The trams in Karlshorst run 24 hours a day. With no air con the window had to stay open. I had ear plugs so it wasn’t the end of the world but I’d recommend taking some. In summary, for the price it was a good place and the young chap on reception was very helpful and pleasant.

Did nor respond to our request about dogs staying. Forced to stay somewhere else at 7pm in evening. Fortunately the other hotel was significantly better. Still £100 out of pocket. Rude receptionist

Okayish hotel - you get what you pay for I guess. Room was decent size with a nice desk and chair for working. The shower was confusing initially - shower head on one wall but the controls were on the opposite wall, not something I am familiar with so it took some playing around but was fine. The shower head was very dirty for a hotel (completely covered in limescale) and put me off showering to be honest. The view was good and lots of nice shops nearby, walking distance to bus/trains. Lots of happening in the area so very good location. All good, just didn't like the bathroom much - could do with an upgrade.

The room was clean and ok, but very small with the shower placed inside the room and the only window was in the bathroom. The hotel is in a great place, near public transport, shops and restaurants.

The staff has been friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious.
