Hotel Windthorst

Great location within walking distance to Old Town and most landmarks. The building and the interior need some refreshment, but the room was clean, equipped with all the necessary things. The shower too small for my big husband, but they both survived😃. Great breakfast and extremely nice and helpful service make Windthorst Hotel a place worth coming back!

The property is located just a few hundred meters from the Hauptbahnhof. There's also many attractions well within walking distance. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. I had a double to myself just because I like the extra space. The bathroom is roomy which is a nice plus. There was a small balcony with a table and 2 seats which was a nice place to unwind. I didn't take advantage of breakfast at the hotel but it is available for a fee. The bed was a double. If you are unfamiliar with beds in Germany this is 2 singles pushed together. This wasn't an issue, just something to be aware of. Parking, there is a city parking lot just a 3-5 minute walk from the hotel. But where possible I'd suggest using the local buses and trains. One other thing, the rooms are on each floor in 3 or 4 room groups behind a glass door. It's well laid out and quiet. I was there 10 days and think I only heard or saw someone twice. I'll be sure to stay here again! Special thanks to Gerde (forgive me if my spelling is wrong).
