Mendiata Hotel

The facilities in the room are top notch. Great services rendered by the staff. Nice and cool atmosphere.

I had a good time. Nice and welcoming facility!! The breakfast was wonderful with George as the server. The receptionists were attentive. Fred was a good listener. Will visit again

Very friendly staff who are keen to help. Felt quite a long way out of town.

Excellent and well maintained hotel. However, I think the lighting in the hallway needs to be better at night. I would like to suggest lights with sensors so when it’s dark they automatically come on. I think the pool should be cleaned daily so guests don’t have to be swimming with bugs. Otherwise I had a great stay. Rooms are beautiful and well kept love the ambiance.

The location is great and has easy access to the main road. The room is great though could be better. The TV is garbage and there was no running hot water throughout my stay

We booked three hotels in the Greater Accra area. This one was the first of our stay. We really hated leaving, we were treated very well by everyone on the staff and it felt very much like our home for the week we were there. I would like to especially compliment Sandra (Sandy) our waitress for taking very good care of us. The Wi-Fi was our main complaint, as it was very spotty, disconnecting automatically, and we had difficulty reconnecting at times. The pool area was very relaxing and most of the food we had was delicious and well prepared. The room was very big and comfortable. The area around the hotel was not the best, but we had no trouble walking in the area to a main road to get a taxi. We really enjoyed our stay here. This was a true African experience.

Great staff, really made us feel at home. Very clean, quiet. The only suggestion would be to update the shower. That wasn’t working properly. Other then that, great hotel. Will definitely come back.

The entire staffs at the Mendiata were very professional, customer service oriented and the foods were excellent. I will always recommend to my family and friends traveling to Ghana to make Mendiata their first choice.

Enjoyed the food has my best and fav beef sauce with rice drinks moderate on point I will say and the smile always on every once face sis had a good time .

Ideally, there is no privacy at the Hotel, the swimming pool is open to the public and making the surrounding very crowdy. noisy and threat to safety, because such things can attract robbers and bad people. The air-conditioning in the room was not properly working and fridge in the room wasn't working as well. Room services are not reliable as it can take you more than 2 calls on the intercom to be attended to, however, orders takes too long. The price for the rooms are outrageous and not worth it.

The restaurant was the best experience of our stay George, the waiter at the restaurant gave me a wonderful service during breakfast each day, and i made sure he knew i appreciated his service. Details 1. The air-conditioning system not functioning as it should. 2. Shower was totally broken. They was dual shower heads in the bathroom. The fixed shower head that is supposed to "rain on you" had a crack on the side, so the water was just coming out thru the cracked area. And the handheld one was missing the shower head holder. 3. The refrigerator was not cooling anything. It was basically room temperature. I was told it was normal when i asked. 4. Lights out on my floor that no one noticed for several hours. This led to our food going bad in the fridge. I had been out the whole day. This led to the manager suggesting a room change. After change of room: 1. The door to the bathroom would not close because somehow, the door frame was smaller than the door itself. So i had to use one of the small towels. Tied it to the door handle and the towel hanger, in order to keep the door closed. Conclusion: Mendiata has the potential of becoming every guest's dream, if issues like what i have mentioned are fixed, and also if rooms are checked thoroughly before arrival of new guests. The rooms are nice and very spacious, and also comfortable in general. Same applies to the outer / pool area. It has the potential,  but pool does not look clean.
