We had a wonderful few days at Aquila Porto Rethymno. The property is beautiful and well maintained and with many additional facilities and games than expected. We went mid-June and had a wonderful time at the pool and beach, easily finding chairs, however, the drinks service was slow. The breakfast spread was delicious and plentiful. Very convenient location with easy walking distance to town.

A good stay at the Aquila Porto Rethymno, with a good location and great sea views. The room was spacious and well-appointed with direct views over the beach and sea. Breakfast was good, with a solid range on offer. Lively location, central with easy walking access to the old town and harbour area.

We were very satisfied with the hotel. We also received an upgrade to the Penthouse, which was very good. In addition we had another room on the top floor directly to the beach. The hotel provided lots of complementary drinks, fruit and sweets in both rooms. Only negative was two of the staff in the breakfast room. They looked like they had very bad days at work, not friendly service at all.

Parking: For those of you with rental cars, there is no parking at the hotel and no parking space available in close vicinity either. Closest paid parking is 20 minutes away. Service: Its a mixed bag. Very friendly staff, however we wanted to extend our stay with one night and unfortunately there was a mix up. We eventually solved it, but the inconveniece of discussing the issue with the staff took several hours (and made us uncomfortable). Otherwise very attentive and friendly staff overall.

The breakfast is incredible. There are so many options and great quality!! The view is second to none. The area is perfect for beach, walking to the Port etc. There are great places to eat in the hotel and very close . It was a wonderful vacation!
