We loved our stay at Hotel Miranda! From Iannis' friendly greeting, help with bags and a glass of wine to get us started, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this lovely, well-cared for guest house. Breakfasts were lovely in the garden/patio and staff were attentive and kind. Our rooms off the patio were cozy and we enjoyed walking out to the patio in the mornings. I hope our travels bring us back to this wonderful spot and home away from home!

The property was well within walking distance from the port and upon arrival we found the the site inviting. We stayed in the two bedroom garden suite which was nicely situated next to the hotel patio serving as a cool refreshing respite during the warm afternoons. The staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating. I would highly reccomend staying here when in Hydra.

Arrived early. Very accommodating in offering shower facilities before room is ready and after checkout. We were not in the main hotel but in the downstairs Family room – 2 connected rooms. Bathroom a little tricky in first room, with steps up and down and not enough room for shower. We used the shower in the second room, which was small but slightly better. Breakfast included and was fine with lovely shady courtyard to sit in to eat. However, not enough attention to detail for actual function, for example the bathroom taps were fitted too far back, and the water did not go properly into the basin, but over the back of the basin – hard to get your hands in to wash properly. Also, there was a kettle in the room, but the wire was so short that it was not possible to plug in without unplugging the fridge. Also, no tea or coffee provided. And there was a diffuser with the hairdryer, but the diffuser did not actually fit on the hairdryer. So really, there was no kettle or diffuser. Overall lovely setting and helpful service.

The staff was excellent, and the location was fantastic, however, the accommodations are very old, bathrooms are very very small and the showers are not adequate size for adults, everything is very old and there have been no updates to the rooms, and the larger beds are twin mattresses pushed together, which is rather uncomfortable.

The property is lovely. There is a charming shaded courtyard outside where you can relax or read. This is where breakfast is served each morning. The breakfast is wonderful. This is close to town, but away from the shops. You can here the donkeys walking up the street regularly. However, it is the charming staff that makes this property special. They are kind and hospitable. They go out of there way to insure your stay is lovely.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Close to the port, restaurants and places of interest (Leonard Cohen former house and memorial bench if you’re the fan of Cohen:). The staff very nice and friendly and welcoming (Lela is a sweetheart), delicious breakfast with lots of variety, amazing Greek coffee, homemade marmalade and lemonade and more. Spacious room with daily cleaning, quiet place very pleasant to stay. Beautiful garden to enjoy the time and breakfast in the morning. Absolutely gorgeous place to come back.

Hotel desk clerk was friendly & attentive to us when we arrived a few hours early for check in. We were able to stow our luggage in the lobby and we were served a glass of wine and some chips to enjoy in the garden while our room was cleaned. We stayed in room 3, upstairs with a huge balcony that overlooked the hotel garden, a bit of the town and had a sea view as well. Although we were only on Hydra for two nights, we did manage to enjoy our space both outdoors and inside. The KingBed was very comfy, good pillows too. There's a nice antique wardrobe and dresser to use. Bathroom was functional, although missing a fan, there's a small window to open to allow steam to escape. Showerhead is up very high, about 6' so if you are not too tall it may make it difficult to adjust it. Hot water takes a minute or two, but great overall. Good HVAC system. Mini fridge makes a bit a noise which can disturb light sleepers. I unplugged it one night. Nothing but water in the fridge so it was ok. You pre select your breakfast items the night before, a mixture of cold continental style items and egg dishes - but no meats. Very tasty and service excellent. If you don't have a lot of heavy luggage and pack light like we did, you can walk to the place in about 5-10 mins taking it slow as it is a slight uphill climb on cobblestones. There are donkeys to rent to carry you and your luggage but didn't inquire or know the price. Lots of cats - we got a bag & walked around feeding a few dozen.
