Great if exploring Iceland in a car. Otherwise 40 min walk to the city centre of Reykjavik. Virtual check in and check out with a helpline if needed. Clean and spacious room. Shower doesn’t smell great but believe this is common in Iceland.

Very easy to do the self check-in. I just wish there was an elevator but it wasn't too bad bringing my bag up the stairs. Very nice room.

Nice hotel... much better than what we were expecting given the price. Helpful staff, delicious breakfast, clean... we selected hotel due to its proximity to the place where we needed to get PCR test but would stay there again despite it not being close to downtown Reykavik. What we saved on hotel will pay for a nice dinner in town!

First, we had trouble getting into the hotel. There is no physical staff on the property. They email you with a code to get into the front door and the same code opens your room door. Ours didn’t work. I phoned them to help us get in. The gentleman who answered was very pleasant and helpful.
We got in the building. It must be under renovation because the floors are not finished and looked like a construction zone.
The room was fine and finished. The bathroom had a huge heavy glass door, an extremely small sink and an equally small waste basket. The beds were comfortable.
Overall, we liked the room. It is close to shops and about a 10 minute drive to the church and area.

Room was really nice.
Looks like they are currently remodeling and doing upgrades to the floors and stairwell.
Area is very quiet.
Room could be darker so if you need absolute darkness find additional means.
Never had the breakfast so can't comment.
Wish they had a phone for the guests to use somewhere to call them as there is no staff.
Had a room mixup, where the room I was old I had, was not the room I was assigned.
Once I got a hold of the using a locals phone, was resolved very quickly.

We didn’t take the breakfast option. We took advantage of an in-room refrigerator. Overall, the apartment was adequate. The beds were comfortable. There is no sink in the food prep area, only a sink in the bathroom. There are no towel racks. The floor was not swept. The sofa set was very dirty, to the point of being able to smell food or oils on it. There is a really good restaurant next door, Ginger- healthy, tasty choices. Open 11-8. We walked to a gym to use their spa services. And maybe the biggest perk is that the Arctic Comfort Hotel is a stop on the bus pick up for tours and getting to the airport. If you’re not fussy, this is a convenient place to stay.

problem with entering the hotel and room! Very bad internet, you have to use your own!! I didn't see any of the staff, the room is not cleaned, the towels are not changed, you have to ask later! The TV does not work for local channels!! The room and bathroom are very clean and tidy!!

There were many problems encountered with the hotel room here. The lights would not work when attempting to turn them on. The TV would randomly turn on at different points in the night, and it would play Chinese shows. The hallways smell very bad. The staff was unresponsive.

SCAM ALERT! Super dirty floor when we entered the room. Washroom stinks as soon as you turn the water on. Rooms come with fully renovated and modern amenities including a Nespresso Coffee Machine which is the last thing they should’ve been concerned about.
Booking was 2 nights unfortunately and we even wrote a message to clean the second day but still absolutely nothing was done about that. Infect, they wanted us to let them know what time we were going to check out the next morning so that they can have the room ready for next guest when the check out time clearly states 11:00 AM.
Also TV turned on by itself and someone from different room was controlling the TV. We talked to multiple people there who said they had the same issue as well.
In short, do not fall for the pictures and try to stay away from this place as much as you can.

When we showed up the code wasn't working - we were able to sort that out after a few calls. But when we got to the room it wasn't what was advertised at all. It's pretty far outside the city center so the reason we stayed here was because the photos of the room we booked looked like it had a huge living room and kitchenette. The room we actually got was a small cramped one. They ended up getting us into the bigger room the following night - but only offered a 10% refund. On top of that I think the hotel is still in construction so it was noisy during the day. Wouldn't recommend staying here.

The room did not match the pictures. While we were eating dinner another family gained access to our room which was very unsettling. We were unsure where to park. Beds were very hard and expected our additional bed was a pull out couch but it was a very uncomfortable cot.

We ended our 2 week road trying on Ring Road here. We wanted a warm place to come back to after going to the Blue Lagoon. My boyfriend took a shower and neither drain worked. The bathroom completely flooded and went into the carpet of the main room. We ended up cleaning it ourselves and asked to move to a different room but all were booked. I’m glad we found out before the blue lagoon so I was luckily able to shower there. I wish I went down to ask for a partial refund since the main reason we went was for a good shower that couldn’t even happen. Room was hot so we slept with windows open. Bed was comfy and the duvet was thinner compared to other places which was nice. Really really bummed about the shower though.
