Parking is a little tricky for the suites, but manageable. The staff is helpful and responsive, but not overly friendly. There's a bar and a limited menu in the main building. Laundry service available. Amazing views of the ocean, as promised. Less than 10 minutes drive to Vik with all kinds of dining, shopping and fuel. We enjoyed our stay.

The location is perfect for viewing the ocean, Northern Lights and Dyrhólaey. The heated towel rack in the bathroom was a pleasant surprise. The lobby always has a welcoming, cozy vibe. Having a kitchenette (fridge, 2- burner stove, microwave, dishwasher, pots, plates, etc) was so useful. I definitely recommend Black Beach Suites if you're planning a trip to the southcoast of Iceland. It is very close to Reynisfjara Beach.

Clean and nicely designed room. Sound proof b/c we have a very noisy 2 yr old. Parking was right outside and perfect. Kitchen had everything we had to cook. Staff was nice. Only complaint, was that the heated floors in the bathroom and foyer were nice but made the nights pretty uncomfortable in trying to cool the room down. I literally had to sleep with only shorts and that was still only slightly bearable on our first night. We checked in late so reception closed and we could not get word. Next day we asked for a 2nd fan and were able to ask to lower for a bit (it's shared temp control with the whole building and not just our room). We also opened up the window which allowed the room to cool a bit. The floors would over power the cool air,but with the 2nd fan and lowered floor temps it worked out well. Overall a really good time here, but watch out for the heated floors unless you like to sleep in a sauna.

Nice place that worked perfectly for the 1 night stay for our family. Modern, clean, bar with food onsite was great for our late arrival. Nice to have the kitchenette and views from the room we chose. Didnt realize it was also a hostel (?) in another area so there were plenty of young people working and hanging out in the bar, but it wasn't in any way negetive. The bartender was friendly and the pizza & wine were very tasty and appreciated after a long day. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely studio in a quiet location a short drive to the black beach. A vehicle is a must as shopping in the local town is a few miles away. Watch the ‘Northern Lights’ from the property. Free parking next to the block (two floors, some are single which are closer towards the beach). Would stay there again.

Fantastic location just outside of Vic. Easy and close access to the black sand beach. Beautiful, super modern, large, very well appointed suites. Short walk to the bar in the main building. I wish there was a restaurant at the main building, but overall still a great place to stay.

From the moment His Majesty and I crossed the threshold of this resplendent Icelandic haven, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of understated opulence and Nordic charm. Our three-night sojourn felt less like a hotel stay and more like a curated experience in refined hospitality. The staff, ever gracious and impeccably mannered, anticipated our needs with the kind of intuitive finesse one typically reserves for palace attendants. Our suite—an exquisite blend of modern elegance and cozy sophistication—boasted every amenity one might desire, from plush linens that whispered luxury to a décor so tastefully orchestrated it could have been lifted from the pages of Architectural Digest. The view? Positively cinematic. Each morning greeted us with a panorama so breathtaking, it felt as though Iceland herself had arranged the landscape for our private enjoyment. The location, too, was nothing short of perfection—close enough to the pulse of adventure, yet secluded enough to preserve our royal tranquility. Needless to say, we are already plotting our triumphant return.
