Everything about this hotel was great, especially after a long day of driving and sightseeing. The restaurant was wonderful the bathrobe and slippers and sauna really added to a relaxing evening. Great experience.

Definitely my favorite hotel! It was located very close to Diamond Beach/Glacier Bay. Also close to other glaciers and canyons. The happy was wonderful and breakfast was amazing!

We were driving from Reykjavik to the glacier areas. It was a for plus hour drive. We decided to spend the night out there and couldn't have found a nicer place to stay. They have a short summer window here and we would have been wiser to have booked this some time ago as it was quite pricey. Lovely place, nice people, easy access to the local tourist sights.

We stayed at the Foss hotel, Glacier Lagoon for two nights because it's location is perfect for glacier hikes and visiting the Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach. The hotel is smart and clean and seems to have good green credentials. The food was excellent (breakfast and dinner) although the breakfast bar did get exceptionally crowded on the one morning. Our room had a beautiful view out towards the sea. It was very comfortable but did get excessively hot as we were staying there in unusually warm weather and there were no controls to cool the room. The small window only provided relief when we opened the door into the corridor to allow the hot air to blow through. next to the hotel is a beautiful waterfall which is well work the 5 minute stroll to admire.

Clean and modern design hotel. My only complaint was that the room I got was at the base level so i couldn’t have the window and the blinds open without worrying about the people walking by looking inside.

My experience was mixed. The property is clean, and modern. But when compared with other hotels at this price range around the world, the shortcomings are especially in how the staff is and the spa amenities, including the gym. It is pretty clear that the staff has not been trained in how to make the guests welcome. They’re just neutral. As to the spa, it is below average for the price range. And when it comes to the gym, one pulley machine, a treadmill, rowing machine, and a bike with a few free weights in a small space just don’t do it. To summarize, it is probably the best property in the area. However it is clear that this is not a family run, passion based business but a corporate money making machine. The spirit is missing. There is a lot of potential, but I suggest that the leaders of the company go to Austria or northern Italy to learn what hospitality looks like. I’m trying to be fair here and give a constructive feedback. I see no systemic issues here, just a team and company culture and values that are not aligned fully. I hope this helps.

Staff are extremely friendly. The hotel was extremely clean and beautiful. The outside hot tub was a nice touch and enjoyed by many of us. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Food was also amazing.
