After a long travel day it was so nice to be greeted by the friendly staff and shown around the place. The pool was a great place to relax when not wanting to go to the beach. The beach is 5-10 minute walk away which was fine for us. Clean, friendly and exactly what we needed!

Well, situated at the marina 2 km from the old city of Bosa apartment. Hotel is pleasant. Facilities are becoming dated but generally everything was clean. Buffet breakfast for additional €10 was very good.

Overall our 4 nights stay was mediocre. The rooms are big but need modernising as the bathrooms are small and very outdated. The location of the hotel for our family wasnt great. The pool is not very clean but would have been great if they use a robot etc to have it cleaned. As per previous reviews Mosquitos are bad, we stayed at 5 other places on our trip and didnt experience the same.
No restaurant at all and bar open only until early evening. The cleaning staff are fantastic.

Easy access by car and some free parking spots on the grounds and more on the street. Spacious room and bathroom, full size fridge, kitchenet with a sink in the room, but there is no gas in the stove and no cutlery or pans provided. Also, no microwave, but you can ask for a kettle from the front desk that has round plug with ground that doesn’t fit into the receptacle, as it requires a different type of adapter that I luckily had. If you are travelling in Italy from other European country, it is beneficial to have a two prone round plug with ground to three prone flat power adapter, because in some hotels you won’t be able to push in the round plug.
The room was on the pool side with a huge balcony where we had our morning coffee. There is also an ashtray for smokers. Decent Wi-Fi signal, you must ask for the password at the front desk. The bed is very firm, and I like it, but some people might find it not very comfortable.
Bathroom is spacious, but not enough surface space and only two hungers. When flashing the toilet, you must stand back as the water goes over the top (very strong pressure) and spills on the floor. I had to place a towel around the toilet to contain the water spreading all over the floor. The towel was taken by the cleaning personnel but not replaced with a new one. The door safety lock knob was not functioning in my room and the door was locked only by the latch.
This is a good hotel in a quite area with many good points, but I couldn’t give 5 stars.

It was worrying that the front door wasn't locking properly and had to rotate multiple times the key to lock. Also the pool door wasn't closing well either and was holding only on the top hook. Good push would easily open them. I wasn't feeling comfortable leaving my valuables there as there was no safe in the room.
The breakfast provided was bad quality. Boiled eggs had strange colour. Literally not worth it the risk.
The pool was nice and empty during pandemic. It is quite a wall from city center, but very close to the beach.

The good news: the problems listed can be solved easily. If these challenges were fixed, this hotel would have a high recommendation.
The bad news: very poor wi-fi signal and the air conditioner did not work well enough. At night, it was warmer inside the room (26-28C) with the AC turned on than outside. And that was the case after leaving curtains drawn the whole day to avoid heating the room. We had a technician check the AC after the first night, and it was working according to the expected performance.
As we opened the windows to cool the room, LOTS of mosquitos flew in during the night. We counted 45 bites on our 9-year old son, and my wife and I had over 30 bites each. We tried mosquito repellent, etc. to no avail. The choice of being extremely hot (sweating in bed) or being bitten all night long is not an easy one, and I don't think anyone should have to make that decision.
To be fair, our room was on the upper floor and faced the afternoon sun, which did not help matters.
The solution is simple:
1. I understand that due to water / river close by, the ability to eliminate mosquitos is limited; however, managing the problem is a choice that the hotel can do - by informing guests and by changing the AC units.
2. AC units in warmer units (like ours) should have appropriate throughput to deal with the additional heat generated by the sun. Then close windows & mosquitos stay outside.
3. Add wi-fi repeaters: virtually no signal in our room due to thick walls

Excellent hotel especially for families. Spotlessly clean rooms and spacious showers. Plenty of room and hangers in the wardrobe. Small fridge in room where you could put your cold drinks.
Very welcoming staff who on our arrival actually showed us where the breakfast, pool and bar area were👍😃
My daughter has some food allergies and because I had advised when booking they were completely aware and confirmed with me on check in and gave which gave me a full assurance.
Breakfast was varied and good.

The Hotel Isola Rossa is a lovely place to stay the hotel staff and very friendly and super helpful. Only strange thing was the room has a kitchenette area but no utensils, pans not even cutlery or a cup/glass. Had a full working fridge through with was very appreciated.

Really inexpensive, easy to find, easy to park, walking distance from the beach. Spotless room, comfortable, good air conditionner. I did not took the optional breakfast buffet (I am more a continental guy), so went to a café.
