The Grids hotel is well located being close to Namba station as well as numerous restaurants and the shopping district. Our room was not particularly large but was big enough and we had everything that we needed. The breakfast is the outstanding feature of this hotel and the reason why I would definitely book here again.

The room itself was great: clean, well appointed, etc. The location was also great: super convenient and walkable to subway and trains, yet not on a busy street. The main disappointment was no tea or coffee in the room, causing me to go around the corner to get coffee every morning. For a few cents a day, that seems like a false economy.

Room was quite decent for 2Adults and 1 child, given that this is Namba area. There is access to lounge and welcome drinks at lobby. Opted to pay extra for the breakfast but actually the menu is very limited and repeated if you are staying more than 1 night. Need to exit from Exit 6 if you came by train. There is a need to pay for city tax at check in. It is ¥100/pax/night.

The Grids hotel is well located being close to Namba station as well as numerous restaurants and the shopping district. Our room was not particularly large but was big enough and we had everything that we needed. The breakfast is the outstanding feature of this hotel and the reason why I would definitely book here again.

I wasn't very happy about the checkin person who gave trouble while checking in. We were 2 adults and 3 kids all less than 11. I had booked the largest room available that would sleep 6 people. She initially told that she would not check us in but later agreed as if she was doing us a favor. We did pay for the extra breakfast of a child and did not ask for any extra beds. I don’t think they should be wearing a mask all the time. It’s difficult to have a face to face conversation.

Good location; close to shopping, restaurants and metro. Room cleaning is scheduled every three days. Also limited amenities and room supplies (no drinking water provided as in other hotels and have to help ourselves to coffee/tea, personal hygiene items at the front desk).

Great location with easy access from the airport and to other parts of Osaka and also if you are going to the Expo.
Note that the room is only cleaned every third day which I have no issue with. But even then, housekeeping isn’t very thorough. Still got stray hair and the used tea bags are not cleared, maybe we got a super busy housekeeper that forgot.
Towels are changed daily which is good.
Breakfast spread is wide but it is the exact selection everyday.

We really enjoyed staying here. The dotonburi was within a walkable distance. The limousine bus to and from the airport was just around the corner and saved us a lot of money when we arrived from a long international flight. It was easy to do day trips to Nara and Kyoto as there were alot of stations around the hotel.
We also generally loved the Namba area because it’s central in Osaka and felt very safe, not too busy and there were alot of convenient stores nearby for a quick breakfast.
The hotel also provided pyjamas (to borrow for your stay) and amenities such as toothbrush and hair brush, bath salts, lotions and hair ties etc. I’d still byo toothbrush as the one provided was good for one day.
The luggage service was great and we used that to send our luggage from Osaka to our next hotel in Tokyo. We sent our luggage 1 day prior to travel and it was at our hotel by the time we arrived.
The staff were helpful and let us borrow umbrellas when it was raining. They also provide full room cleaning services once every 3 days but that did not bother us as towels were replaced everyday.
Even thought the hotel was in Namba, we weren’t bothered by any street noises at all.
Thanks for the lovely stay! I’d stay here again.

Grids is so close to everything in the NAMBA area. It felt like all we had to do was step outside and walk a few blocks and we were at Dotonbori, or the Lion Head Shrine or anything we wanted to see really. The room was very small but that’s expected in Japan. We had three people but the rooms are really only made for two people and that just convert a window seat into a bed.
The breakfast here was terrible in my opinion. Burnt coffee to start with. They have an espresso machine that they refuse to make you coffees with. The selection was no great. They serve tamago but it’s just unseasoned scrambled eggs. When we arrived for a 9am breakfast, it felt like all then food options were empty so we paid full price for half a selection of food.
Stay here for the convenience but skip breakfast for sure.

It felt like the entrance was a bit hidden, but it was a fantastic experience! The staff was very attentive and made sure I understood how the property worked, especially the room cleaning cycles.
I loved the free selection of tea they had for guests as well as the accessibility offered. I didn’t take care of it, as I’m body able, but it was apparent that they care deeply about it
