Onsen was really nice with fantastic amenities for skincare and hair. Nice property, good location walking distance to the “loop”. Everything was great. Personally I wish buffet breakfast and lunch had more options but my teens liked everything.

Our only disappointment was the room. We were given the furthest ground-floor room, 101, and if we stayed again I wouldn’t accept it. However, if you prefer a closed-in garden view then this location might suit you. Personally, we didn’t enjoy it. My review reflects my personal preference. We had no issues with the other areas of the hotel. In fact, the location was great, right next to the ropeway (cable car station) and at the start and end of the Ashi Lake tour.

STUNNING property with the Hakone Ropeway right at its doorstep. We stopped here for a couple of days of rest & relaxation after spending 5 days in Tokyo, and boy did we love every minute of it. From the serene lobby, the outdoor foot soak overlooking the lake and mountains, to the luxury awaiting us in our room (which included a private open air bath). Honestly, we could not have asked for more. A great little spot to unwind in the midst of a busy vacation!

A fantastic selection of food and drink at breakfast and lunch. Scenery is breath taking and worth the hour bus ride. As we booked last minute free shuttle bus was unavailable. 2mins walk to cable car and pirate ship. Trail walk around the lake. Our one night stay was not long enough. This hotel was amazing. 5 out of 5 stars, only a 2 minute convenient walk from the bus station, and the amenities were incredible. We stayed in a room that had a private onsen, which was very romantic for my husband and I’s stay. Along with the open air hot springs, the amenities here were amazing. The hotel included complimentary breakfast and dinner buffets which were delicious! Will definitely be back when in Japan again!

Very clean hotel in an excellent location, beautiful views of the lake and delicious food. For any European travellers just remember that Japanese hotel rooms are small by comparison so you'll have most of your clothes in your case, however the norm is to wear the clothes provided by the hotel when on property which are very comfortable. During our stay the sulfur smell from nearby was quite noticeable at times and does come and go, though the equipment on the room eliminates this, just one to consider when outside
