Hotel Granvia Osaka

The staff at the lobby are very friendly and helpful. The room is clean, and the hotel's location is excellent.

You check in on the 19th floor and there’s beautiful restaurants and bars. The bar does charge a cover charge even for people who stay at the hotel for a drink. The rooms are extremely small with very industrial type bathrooms. No extras at this hotel.

This the first time staying in this hotel. Here are the following comments #1) The housekeeping lady has done an excellent job of keeping the room clean and replenished the toiletries during our stay. #2)The location is convenient and easy to access to Kyoto and major attractions in Osaka via JR rail and metro. #3) The entrance was very dim and there is no lightings above the coffee, tea and kettle cabinet. Please refer to photos. Hence we have to relocate all the items (tea, coffee and kettle) to desk by window side for better visibility. In addition there was a slot be the coffee,tea and kettle cabinet. Please refer to photos. Found a few packs of coffee bags dropped into this gap by previous guest. #4)There was some minor issue during the check in. The hotel front desk staff insisted that we sorted out with hotel.com despite of showing her the Hotel confirmation email and booking Itinerary number. Special thanks to Sayantan, Hotel.com helpdesk agent, who managed to laised with reservation team of hotel Granvia. See screenshot of the details. Special thanks to Don from hotel Granvia who assisted by being a translator between us and hotel front desk staff, who (to our surprise) was unable to communicate in English. Have not encountered any check in issue with hotel in Sapporo or other countries. This is the 1st time encountering such incident.

Room is fine but toilet doesn’t have enough room for storage. too much compact space

I travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels over the years, but this was honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I stayed for two nights and was extremely disappointed. The bathroom smelled strongly of urine, and the floor was dirty. The carpet throughout the room looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed properly — the corners were full of dust and dirt. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of those details. The towels were very old and worn out, which was surprising for a hotel that claims to be four stars. I truly don’t understand how this hotel maintains a 4-star rating. It’s located in one of the best areas of Umeda, which makes it even more disappointing to see this level of service and cleanliness. I would not stay here again.

All staffs are excellent. I stayed with my familly. All family members were satisfied with the hotel services.

My room was excellent. All of the staff i interacted with were also excellent!

Loved the location, rooms and the lounge. English speaking staff were readily available in all areas. Check in and Check out was a smooth process. We booked the Granvia Floor rooms, absolutely worth it as a whole. The interior furniture and furnishing was a delight; the rooms and overall environment was also very quiet! The Lounge was honestly a surprise by the drinks and some goodies to snack on. Housekeeping staff was also very attentive, helpful and conversational. Well equipped and a lot of amenities. I've previously also stayed in 2 other hotels in the immediate area and easily would come back to Granvia. Lookout for the vouchers they give you when you check in for discount at Granvia's own restaurants!

The room needs some updating, no usb port

The room was beautiful. We booked a suite and it was on the top floor. Very awesome view. The people at check in were very helpful. Both me and my brother had to provide our passports at check in, though, so be sure to bring yours. Breakfast was awesome with a lot of variety of traditional Japanese breakfast options as well as some familiar western foods. Mostly everything was excellent. Only one food option I did not enjoy but that may just be my own taste preference. The Wagyu Prime rib is a must try though! I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Osaka.

Great location . Close to train station. Walking to other subway stations are easy. Shopping stores everywhere. The only complaint I have was the walls between guest room not soundproof. I can hear my next door neighbor talking the whole night.
