they have this "eco cleaning" that will only fully clean after like 3 nights the rest of the days if you need cleaning then you will have to opt out daily before a certain cut off time lol. i mean you get fresh towels and trash cleared but thats it. just annoying to deal with but big cost savings for the property that the customer dont see classic greenwashing we see everywhere. besides that the stay was pleasant enough

hot springs at the hotel was nice. close to the train station was nice. Free drinks at check in was nice. They held our bags since we were early but wanted to charge us to have early access to the rooms. I did not like the extra charge, so we just let them hold our bags as we explored Kyoto.

The property was very nice. Overall good stay, however, I wouldn’t stay there again. The gym was over crowded each day, the rooms were so small and not really functional and the laundry situation was not good. Not enough washer/dryers that there were lines to use. To make matters worse, I had to dry my clothes 3 times and they still were wet. I had to hang all my clothes in the tiny room.

Great anesthetics and location and very welcoming staff.

The hotel and staff were amazing, had a onsen that you can go to as well as a drink bar for certain hours. Had a gym but only the dumb bells and treadmill and bike were useful. The only issue I honestly had was that the washer and dryer system they had. Essentially its 5 washer/dryer machines but the problem was essentially trying to get them done because of all the guests and if someone didn’t come down to get their laundry after a certain time frame. Luckily there is a rule if laundry is left for 10 minutes, you can contact staff to get it out and staff will bag their items for them. Other than that staff was amazing, facility is phenomenal, and would definitely book again.

Nice staff and nice people

— Good hotel, but didn’t quite live up to the hype* Stayed here for a few nights and overall it was a solid, cute hotel in a great location. The restaurant downstairs was actually pretty good — convenient and tasty. The mattresses are not so great !!! A few things to know before you book: *The not-so-great:* When we first checked in there was a funky smell in the lobby, but credit where it’s due — two days later they had incense going at the entrance/exit and it made a big difference. Honestly they should just keep that up all the time. They’re also _very_ strict about room keys. Lose one and you’re paying for a replacement, no exceptions, so guard it with your life. Housekeeping uses an “eco clean system,” meaning they don’t clean your room daily unless you request it. It wasn’t horrible, but for what they advertise themselves to be, I expected daily service to be standard. *Random but important:* There’s a no-tattoo policy in the onsen/onesie areas, so plan accordingly if that affects you. You are directly infront of a fire station and Main Street so be prepared for some noise level. *Bottom line:* Cute property, great location, good food. If you’re okay with minimal housekeeping and strict key rules, you’ll be fine. It was good — just didn’t exceed expectations.

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. I enjoyed all the amenities, the coffee lounge, bath, and welcoming drink. The room feels spacious. They lend us umbrella for a rainy day. It was a perfect stay.

This is a great property with friendly staff, a great bath, the breakfast is amazing and the location is solid. Don't hesitate to stay here.

A beautiful hotel - spotlessly clean, great service and the basement facilities were amazing. The staff were very helpful and personable. They were just lovely to deal with. The food in the restaurant was good and the overall aesthetic of the hotel was beautiful. We were so glad to have picked the Blossom! Well located too. Bit of a queue to use the washers/dryers and they didn’t dry too well but that’s not really a problem.

Walking district to JR and other popular spots with laundry, with grocery store close by.

The Blossom Kyoto is a beautiful, calming oasis with a delicious breakfast, extremely comfortable beds, lovely spacious rooms, refreshments, a gym and even an amazing onsen. We had the most wonderful, relaxing stay and will return for sure. There were six of us and we all agreed that this was our favourite stay in Japan by far.

Beautiful and well maintained property very close to train station and near many site seeing places ! You can use train and /or taxi for reasonable travel ! Property is beautiful and very well maintained with good amenities !

We like the location of this hotel. It’s about 15 minutes walk to Kyoto station and we walked on a sunny day and visited Higashi Hongan-ji temple on the way. We used the public bath at the basement everyday. It’s not too crowded. For breakfast, the food was good, but a little disappointed that they didn’t have natto and ume which we had in all other hotels’ breakfast buffet. The laundry line can be really long. We checked one night, there was no machine available and people were holding their laundry waiting at the lounge. We decided to wake up at 5 am the next day to do. When we picked up our laundry at 7 am, all machines were full.
