Hulu Chuchoh is a semi-developed village located in Sepang district, Selangor, Malaysia. Generally, Hulu Chuchoh involved in commercial agricultural sector such as coffee, palm oil and rubber plantations.
According to history, the name Hulu Chuchoh is derived from the word ‘cucoh’ that means fighting in the aborigine language who have been settling there. Around the 1920s, it was said that two of the clan’s shamans, namely Batin Lipat and Batin Bolos were fighting when they were in the middle of crossing the Small Sepang River to the lower side or ‘hulu’ of the river. Hence, the name Hulu Chuchoh is referring to the ‘hulu’ side where the ‘cucoh’ is taking place.
Hulu Chuchoh is located around 60 km from Kuala Lumpur and approximately 35 km from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Guests may hail a taxi from either Kuala Lumpur or KLIA to get to Hulu Chuchoh.
