Bagan Lalang is a coastal beach near Sungai Pelek town situated in the Sepang district in the state of Selangor, Malaysia. It was once a fishing village and has now become a popular picnic and camping spot on weekends, housing and tourism developments around the area due to its proximity to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and the Sepang International Circuit. The Bagan Lalang beach is usually crowded on weekends with visitors taking part in water sports activities such as kayaking and swimming. The beach is also filled with friends, families and couples engaging in picnics and camping, kite-flying, boating and other recreational activities. There are also various hakwer stalls and restaurants offering famous local delicacies of 'Ikan Bakar' (traditional grilled fish), 'Satay' (barbequed meat kebabs), and exciting seafood dishes. Around Bagan Lalang, places of attraction include Tanjung Sepat which is a fishing town renowned for its seafood, Morib beach and Jugra which is a historical town that was once the royal capital of Selangor.
How to Get There
By Car
You can reach Bagan Lalang from Kuala Lumpur by using Kuala Lumpur- Putrajaya highway. This journey usually takes around an hour and 15 minutes. There are also road options to Bagan Lalang which are via North and South and ELITE highway that takes another five to ten minutes. From Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the journey consumes only 40 minutes to Bagan Lalang.

Tanjung Sepat
Located about 20 minutes away from Bagan Lalang, Tanjung Sepat gets its name from the word Tanjung, meaning cape in English, and Sepat which is a type of fish. It used to be a fishing village but due to pollution in Straits of Malacca, this activity is becoming less intensive. There is a Ganofarm Homestay which is not only a homestay, but also an important Malaysian based mushroom research company that cultivates, develops, manufactures, market fresh mushrooms and mushroom-based products. Most of the inhabitants are known to the fishing industry at Tanjung Sepat, although the relative importance of fishing to the economy is dropped due to pollution in the Straits of Malacca. Tanjung Sepat is well known locally for its many seafood restaurants and the most famous dish is the seafood steamboat and bun.
Kuan Wellness Eco Park
Strategically located at Tanjung Sepat, between Sepang Goldcoast and Morib Gold Coast as well as 25 minutes away from Banting town, Kuan Wellness Eco Park has a total land area of 5 acres and consists of a 3½ storey house and a visitor centre, surrounded by palm oil plantations and tropical fruit farms. The visitor centre is filled with swiftlet gallery, eco theatres, bird nest processing and research centre, sales centre, smoke-free bird nest eco café, eco-garden and green promenade. There is a mini-zoo which the entrance is RM 5 per person containing various birds, animals, reptiles and fish. Visitors can feed animals with bags of carrots and other food on sale for RM 2 or 3 per bag. There are many species of bird available here include sun conure, senegal parrots, rose-ringed parakeets, Livingstone’s turaco, mandarin ducks, black shoulder peacocks, white-whiskered bulbuls, ringneck and diamond doves, giant zebra finch and purple grenadier. Besides that, there are also rabbits, ferrets, porcupines, some Javan deer and prairie dogs. There are iguanas and ikan patin, patin putih, golden koi, butterfly koi and other local species. This place closed on weekdays and opens at weekends and school and public holidays only from 9 am - 7 pm.
