The room is a bit old, the little table at the balcony should be change to a new one instead of glueing back together. Overall, I'm satisfy with their service.

Great place for the rich and wealthy to relax in style
A good nice tidy place set in colonial style rooms. The hotel operates like an exclusive club style with its own irritating rules and regulations and is not child friendly. We were a family of six - 2 adults, 2 teens and 2 kids and felt this was not great value for money rather an exclusive serious looking place for rich and wealthy or elderly to come and relax in style - may be play golf in the golf course bang opposite. Pros - Its like an exclusive English high street club style hotel which has a set breakfast menu which was great and an even greater dinner menu set by Chef called George probably and great food at dinner. We specially liked the dinner there. It was well prepared and great options, a bit on the expensive side but good value - though there is a dress code to enter the dining hall, we were told. Rooms are clean and tidy, beds were comfortable, good size with balconies where you can sit around and see the golf course and enjoy the coolness of the place. The SPA treatment is also good. There is a mosquito killer with heating mats in the room indicating that its needed. Cons: The dining staff is rude to the core. Other than a guy called Shukri, the rest are very arrogant. At the breakfast, you are given what you ask (and once it arrives its very well prepared and nice) for only you have to get the attention of the waiters and they will just zoom past you without making an eye contact. At the steamboat dinner, one of the waiter passed a bad judgement on where we belong from which was rude. The in-room dining has limited options and once you ask only the humble set of sandwiches are available and everything else is finished. We were told by the dining staff that in-room dining menu is only available from 3pm to 6pm. When pointed out that this is not written on the menu, they said its a mistake. The bathrooms in one of our rooms constantly leaked, the light on the balcony did not work and when the maintenance guy came after a couple of reminders he made a mess of the balcony with water and insect residue when he changed the light bulb. The TV in room is old style and has probably 5 channels to watch. The bar downstairs only has two local beers. The windows do not have a wire mesh or anything to stop the insects coming in when you open them and there were a couple of lizards spotted outside so the door to the balcony and the windows were kept tightly shut during our stay and since there is no air conditioning it becomes stuffy during the day. Overall - Dont get me wrong - there is nothing bad with this place - its just that we were the wrong people staying there as we expected fun and lively environment. Its great if you are 60 years old, though you probably have to brave the stairs as there is no elevator (its just ground plus one above) or are young and rich who want to relax in style and privacy. The newly appointed rooms controller Tanzie is a cheerful and pleasant personality who will greet you and help you around. The Chef is a masterchef and serves great food. There is nothing wrong with the hotel (other than the arrogant staff or a leaking bathroom which can be fixed easily) its just that it has a very exclusive serious style which we were not expecting and we were probably the wrong people staying there. We will go there again, but only for dinner. If you are there you must try their lamb shank and rendang beef - just marvelous !

Relaxing and peaceful
CHR was a lovely older style building. I really enjoyed the large room and the balcony which is great to sit on and look over at the hills and golf course. A lovely break away from the heat of KL. I was worried about a couple of knock on our door at 2130, however it turns out to be a second room service. I am more than happy with one room service a day so maybe that could be discussed at check in. The hotel staff are very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was average.

A delightful hotel!
My husband and I have just stayed here for two nights. The hotel is in the colonial style and very elegant. The staff are helpful and attentive. Our room was great - spacious and it had a super veranda with room for a small table and chairs - an ideal spot from which to enjoy an early morning coffee overlooking the golf course and flower border. Unfortunately during our stay the weather was not conducive to enjoying a drink outdoors! There was no bath but the shower was wonderful! Breakfast was good as was the dinner we had in the dining room. This hotel is well worth a visit and an ideal spot from which to explore the Cameron Highlands.

Baby moon getaway
CHR has been the dream came true escape for both of us even during our bachelor times up to our second child now.. and YTL has always impressed our stay every time. Just by Arriving at the luxury hotel has made me the happiest, greeted by the front lobby courteous staffs has always made us feel belong to CHR. I remember having this lady attended to us many years back during xmas she took our photo by the firewoods and it to us framed as a remembrance. Yes we remember her and I still kept her card in my ctc file. Sherry, The Guest Relations. They speak well, they honour our presence and who am I. We're just the locals coming for a visit but we're treated so good almost like going abroad. Yes The great hospitality received made us feel that the staffs were definitely taken cared and rewarded from the group itself that we get to see and experience such gestures and familiar faces every time... as staffs mirrors their management. We have travelled all over the world but CHR still holds d deepest good memories. I see the whole hotel as a package, every visit we look forward to unwrap the surprises. Oh yes, having had the new born we could not leave the room for breakfast.. they made lots of effort to ensure the room service breakfast made possible without any disagreement etc.. no dispute. They took our requests and delivered it. We're more than touch really. Even the babycot was comfy enough for my new born. The entire hotel is clean, beautiful and above satisfactory. I get my pampering session from their beautiful spa and great masseur, every time after my confinement I look forward to come and get d treatment. It's a must visit & to do. Their English colonial style breakfast served at the dining were great. We felt the luxury and experience the differences where it is not offered elsewhere. Keep up the great job be it from the top management down to the general staffs. I wish to grow old and come back quarterly to reminisce our relationship and beautiful memories together.

The worst holiday ever 😖
The hotel room was dirty but we had changed it to another the breakfast was horrible and had no variety (have nothing) The best thing to do in Cameron highland is visiting the Tea valley, the best place ever, there's no Grab or uber just ordered a taxi driver ( very expensive)
