Very Good

Check in time in the voucher is 2pm but they ask to check in 3 pm. Called damai beach before booking to check whether have room at ground floor due to elder with wheel chair. Damai beach promised to give ground floor room but when check in they give 1st floor without Lift. Luckily the staff help to carry my mum. Hope they can improve more on this.
A great place to stay! Will come again.
Nice place, will be back soon...
We booked for superior poolside with double twin bed... but given by the hotel other room.
I was staying at room 103 standard room, the room I stay have a lot sand in floor and bed also have sand. Made my partner need to clean the bed to made sure no sand and another thing is all the plug is broken.
Clean, comfort, relax place to go
Waited for 3 hours to check in though we arrived early. Was promised a call back once our room is ready but never happened. We went to the counter and found out the staff are giving rooms keys to those customers who are queuing up on the spot instead. Talked to the Manager Christina though she apologised but I would say they need to improve in this, perhaps separate check in counters for each type of rooms to clear the queue.
Meal got a lot of selection, however I reach there a bit late, so a lot of food run out.
the room furniture is old and smell especially the bed.
Nice place to stay... environment nice... only the problem we cannot bring up our car... only depend on shutter service up and down but shutter service available 24 hrs.btw I am vary comfortable stay there.

2 Night at Damai Beach Resort
Stayed at hilltop room sea view. The room interior design was outdated but still clean, comfortable and spaces. We can view South Chinese Sea & Mount Santubong from our balcony. My kid luv its pool more that swimming at beach especial during sunset. Near to Sarawak Culture Village (walking distance), spending half days there and enjoyed it activities (traditional Sarawak house & culture show) Although the hotel food is good but we more prefer at Damai Central Food Court (walking distance). Local food like Laksa Sarawak, Mee kolok more tastier. Like always the Sarawakian is friendly and pretty hahaha so comel. The staff were helpful and informative. My room quite far at hill top but shuttle provided. just press the button at Wakaf. 1-2 minute the shuttle will come. My family enjoyed it here.

Out of date
We came here with the view of staying at a 4star resort. First disappointment! The photos on the Internet must be at least 10years old. The pool rooms are a disgrace nothing like any of my travels. We were upgraded to the hilltop room, the pool was wonderful. The room however was musty and like the 3 previous rooms I checked had mildew on the ceiling and walls. No good for someone like me! We left after 2 nights. Having said all this, I will say the staff were fantastic and helpful. The food at the cafe was yummy and I would recommend the oxtail😊. I did receive a refund. Special thank you to the reception Manager Fataima. The owners should upkeep their asset.

One night stay at Damai Beach Resort
Went on April 30th and check out on May 1st. Fully booked. I booked three rooms in Jan. Have to wait till 3 before room ready. While waiting, they got a hospitality lounge for you to relax, drinks and local fruits provided. Beach is clean and got good swim in the sea. Not much sea activities available. As far as can see, only kayaking. On sunny day, got stunning sunset. Breakfast was good. Western n local. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice place to relax n soak up the sun.

Comfortable resort for chilling out
Our room in block 12 of the seaview deluxe suites was dated in decor but comfortable. The views from our balcony were spectacular, from the mountain side on the right to the serene South China Sea on the left. The room was very large and spacious, so no feeling of being squeezed into a resort room. The huge bed was clean and comfortable. Pillows were a bit lacking in comfort - but each to their own style. Aircon was cold but noisy ( comes with age of resort ) TV was working, but still the old style tube screen. Bar fridge was cold but not stocked with anything. There was, however, always 2 fresh bottles of water supplied daily. Room-service was very good. Reasonable choice of dishes and delivered promptly. The bathroom could do with an update/renovation as the shower in the bath was only a wall mounted hand-piece and still flopped around. This caused water to drain off the edge of the bath onto the floor. Not very safe when stepping out of the bath. The room had a daily service from the very polite housekeeping staff. Access to the seaview suites was by shuttle that ran on demand from the resort foyer to the rooms and back again. The infinity pool at the end of the seaview blocks was a delight in which to swim. With a waterfall to drown out the noise of the kids ( Bad timing - School holidays Malaysian Style ) , the water was always clean and clear. Fresh towels were available each time we used the pool. The only thing lacking was some more shade and more lounges. Overall we did enjoy our stay, as it was for R & R. We did take the 45 minute trip by shuttle to Kuching a couple of times and all went well. The Cafe Satang on site restaurant has a respectable menu. It is not crowded in the table layout but challenging with seating arrangements for breakfast during school holidays. You can choose from dining in the cool aircon or outdoors with overhead fans. Breakfast was the usual standard resort fare of western foods and local rice dishes. Lunch and dinner was offered from a set menu that does not appear to change much. The location is good - right on the beach. A good atmosphere in the evening when the band starts to play by the lower pool and bar. Within walking distance is the nearby Damai Central which is a complex of entertainment areas, bars, restaurants, food hall, boutique shops and a 7 Eleven store, for snacks drinks nibbles and ice-creams. Damai Beach Resort is located within walking distance of the Sarawak Cultural Village - another interesting place to visit. Would recommend staying here if visiting the Cultural Village. The drivers indicated that there are several seafood restaurants in nearby villages within 10 minutes drive of the resort, however we did not visit them. All in all a good place to stay
