My kids love the pool very much!!!
Swimming pool and the soothing music from the sea wave
It was a great place. went on weekdays so we got the entire place to ourself but the small pathway to the chalet was dark at night.
Relaxing place but need improvement on Customer service (basic service like smile + greeting + customer attentiveness and Room Maintenance. Like others review. WiFi connection to be improve, pool towel to be ready at pool (I've been given pool towel voucher right before use the pool but no one at pool towel counter), sometime a small brief of the room can make guest stay different. (I have to discover the additional bed under the sofa, the coffee and tea facilities inside the cabinet). Overall Holiday Villa have a nice place and environment but the customer service to be improve.
Nice place near beach with two pool and bot crowdes
I only can get my room after 5pm.
Need to wait almost 1 hour to check-in
Resort should have contingency plan when there were have water disruption during the check out. Very annoying when there was no water to shower and it was during time to check out.
Room ok. old facilities.
Clean room. nice and relaxing place

A Peaceful Retreat – Better Than What We Expected
We’ve been to Cherating once in 2016 and it was a short afternoon beach retreat after visiting our friends in Kemaman town. Our daughter was 2 years old back then and she had a great time on the Cherating soft sands, hence, me and my wife agreed that we NEED to go back to Cherating and stay for a longer period at one of the hotels so we (especially our daughter) could spend more quality time on the beach. On Sept 23, 2017, we went back to Cherating and stayed at Holiday Villa Beach Resort & Spa Cherating for a 3 days 2 nights getaway hoping to enjoy the beach more than we had the last time. It turns out that we had a better time than what we expected. The beach (it’s a different beach from our first visit to Cherating beach), the stay at Holiday Villa BRSC, the food, the coffee, the Cherating people, everything! We chose Holiday Villa BRSC because of the distance between the rooms and the beach (we checked it out on Google Maps satellite view and compare the hotels available in Cherating). When we arrived at the hotel, my wife requested for a room closest to the beach and luckily we were given the room 246 which is the nearest room to the beach. Plus-minus 200m walk to the beach. The staffs were polite and helpful as they assisted us to unload our luggage from our car and deliver it to our room. The room 246 is a wooden villa type complete with all that you need for a 3 days stay with an anxious toddler who can’t wait to go to the beach. A king bed, air-conditioned, flat screen TV, hot shower, clean; everything you can expect from a hotel room. When we were settling down in the room, one of the staffs came knocking at our door and presented us with fruits as refreshments. We wasted no more time in the nice comfy room and headed to the beach since our daughter wouldn’t stop haggling us to take her to play on the beach. Our daughter enjoyed the soft sands on the beach (and the sea was quite calm with little waves, it was like that in the morning and afternoon, throughout our stay at HVBRSC) and most importantly to us it was clean. The hotel and the previous visitors (as well as Cherating people) must have been keeping the beach clean. After the beach, we jumped into the pool (there were 4 pools if we were not mistaken with 2 adults and 2 kids-jacuzzi-ish at both hotel wings). Clean, warm-temp, well-kept, and fantastic!. We had our breakfast at the hotel as it was included in our purchase. Food was nice, Malay-Thai-Western cuisine. Nasi lemak, kuewteow, bihun, sausages, bread butter pudding, cereals, toast, and a much more. We had our lunch at a place in Kuala Kemaman (30-minute drive) recommended by our friend. The place was unnamed but only the locals would’ve known about the place. It was near Masjid Geliga, Kuala Kemaman. We went to (first night) Intan Seafood Restaurant (great food, Malay and Thai cuisine, medium price) nearby the hotel (about 10-minute drive) for our dinner and (second night) Duyong Seafood Restaurant (average food, Thai cuisine, medium price). After having dinner at Duyong, we agreed that we should have gone to Intan as it was beside the beach and the waitresses ware polite with great service. We were fortunate enough to have chosen Holiday Villa BRSC as our stay because it was so near to the beach (our main reason to go to Cherating) including the classic design of the hotel (and environment it was like lush and green with trees and felt like you were in a garden sort of) warm helpful staffs and everything in between. It was a peaceful paradise. Well recommended for a family vacation. We’ll definitely go to Cherating and stay at the same room (if it’s available)!

Average hotel. Needs updating
Stayed for one night in a garden villa. The room was facing the sea which was nice however a company / group / family trip were doing various team building activities all day. In the morning they did an impromptu Zumba session playing loud music. Stayed here a few times and the place needs updating. There are only a few local TV Chanel's available in the rooms and we had to request coffee and tea as none in the room when checked in but in general it's not so bad for the price. The worst part of our stay was the breakfast. Honestly I didn't see one member of staff or one guest smile... literally. I know why, the food was atrocious. The rice for the nasi lemak was literally inedible because it was so salty. I waited for them to bring a fresh batch and it was the same. The fried noodles tasted like it was loaded with MSG and the only other option was soggy French toast, cold baked beans and the most vile mechanically reclaimed chicken 'sausages' I've seen. Fresh fruit was okay but tea and coffee was cold. No option for eggs although the obese chef did bring a tray of scrambled eggs out but seeing him dripping sweat over everything kind of put me off anything else. Terrible service as well. Won't be back sorry.

Thought of spending 2 nights, eventually cut short to one only. No wifi. Imagine an international chain resort and spa without wifi, how to do my job. No wonder the resort is deserted, hardly see any guest. Best part of the stay, my daughter enjoy the swimming pool. Two of them, swimming partially here and there every 15 minutes .....hahaha. Nice beach, nice sunrise view ...... Need to wake up early to view it but worth it, trust me. For advice, get yourself spray with insect repellent before taking the stroll. Lots of sand flies, got bitten on my leg here and there .......yucks. Took a week to recover.

Never updated and dirty rooms
Booked 2 nights ,let me start by expressing that staff is very friendly and helpful . We booked 12 the June 2 nights after schoolholidays . Very quiet and only few guests so beach and pool for ourselves .location and pool beautifully landscaped. So far positive , 1 st room no cold water , changed room without a problem . Bathroom had mold , mattresses stains of what we think was sperm , bugs caused a lot of bites to me and my daughter , room "cleaned" but no toilet roll , coffee and water replaced . Food at beach restaurant was tasteless and expensive , breakfast not worth taking . This hotel chain has a name to keep up but only worth 2 stars . Won't go back there anymore .

No More
Was very disappointed with our last visit to this place. The quality has deteriorated over the last few years. The service is not close to some of the other resorts we visited. Most of the facilities are run down. The beach has beautiful clear water but the beach itself was full of debris. There is a mini mart cum souvenir shop but was closed all the time. I asked the staff there if it will be open and their response was that they are not sure. The lighting in the room was terrible and only local channel on TV The positive side is the housekeeping. They really did a great job in keeping the rooms clean
