If you are taking the bus, note that you will be dropped off at Kedah’s Shahab Perdana Terminal or Perlis’ Kuala Perlis bus terminal, both of them being the main bus terminal for the respective states. If you are taking the train, you will have to drop by the Alor Star Railway Station if you want to go to Kuah jetty or Arau Railway Station if you intend to go to Kuala Perlis jetty. From either of these terminals, the ferry trips to the island would take around 30 to 45 minutes.
