Hotel Regal Malaysia is a budget hotel that is located at Transfer Road, Georgetown, Penang. Hotel Regal Malaysia is a good choice for those who want to stay in the middle of the town without paying expensive rate and still get a comfortable place to sleep at night. Hotel Regal Malaysia rooms not only inexpensive, but they are also the cheapest in town.
How to Get to the Hotel Regal Malaysia
Since Hotel Regal Malaysia is located in one of the major tourist destinations in Malaysia, getting it is easy. The best way to get to the Hotel Regal Malaysia is definitely by driving there. It is just a kilometre away from the middle of Georgetown and about twenty minutes away from the exit of Penang Bridge on the island. For those who are driving from Kuala Lumpur city centre, the trip to Penang Island and to the hotel will take almost four hours to complete via the North-South Highway. There is also an option to take the express bus service from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan in Kuala Lumpur. A ticket to Sungai Nibong Bus Terminal on the island starts from as low as RM 33 one-way. The bus trip will take on average five to six hours to complete. Sungai Nibong Bus Terminal is about twenty minutes to the Hotel Regal Malaysia. There are plenty of taxis at the bus terminal that would bring passengers to their destinations, including Hotel Regal Malaysia. For those who prefer to fly in, Penang has its own international airport, located on the southern part of the island. The Hotel Regal Malaysia offers two types of room in its building. First is the Superior Double. This room has a 22-sqm space and there are two double beds. The Superior Double can sleep up to four people in the room. It starts at RM 85 a night. The second room at the Hotel Regal Malaysia is the Deluxe room. It has the same space as the Superior Double, at 22-sqm but it only has one double bed. The room is more spacious than the Superior Double. It can sleep two people and starts from RM 93 a night. Both types of the room come with the same basic in-room amenities such as a mini refrigerator, a coffee/tea maker set, a writing desk and a chair, together with a television set. The rooms are fully air-conditioned. A water dispenser is available on every floor of the hotel.
All of the rooms at the Hotel Regal Malaysia have private bathrooms with hot water shower and toilet. The rooms also have a free Wi-Fi connection. The rate of the rooms already includes a complimentary breakfast service for the next morning.

Glass Museum - Another interesting and unique museum located in Penang. The Glass Museum first opened its door in 2011. Here, visitors may enjoy and admire the mesmerizing glass arts that are made with various techniques. There are glass ornamentations ranging from fused glass to stained glass and many more. There is also Malaysia’s longest glass artwork that is housed inside the Glass Museum. The artwork is 40 feet long, and 4.5 feet in height. It carries the 1Malaysia theme and this artwork is certified by the Malaysia Book of Records. There is also a retail store inside the Glass Museum where visitors can get their hands on the decorative souvenir made out of glass. The Glass Museum opens every day except on Sundays and public holidays. The entrance fee is RM 15 for adults and RM 7 for children and senior citizens.
