Taiping is town that is located in one of the districts in Perak called Larut Matang and Selama. It is the second largest town after Ipoh which is the capital of Perak. The people of Taiping speaks in a dialect that is heavily influenced by the northern dialect of Malaysia. There are multiple ways to go to Hotel Taiping Perdana. They may drive, take the bus or the train. For those who wish to drive from Kuala Lumpur, may take the North South Expressway. They may drive heading North towards Ipoh. However, from there, they will need to drive further up north and take the exit at Taiping. The whole duration of the drive will take around 3 hours. Another option to go to Taiping is via train. The available train is the ETS or the Electric Train System. One may board the train from KL Central. There are multiple timing that departs to Taiping. Taiping Lake Gardens - This is the first garden that is open to public and was established by the British rule in Malaysia. It is located near Bukit Larut. Previously this garden was a mining ground but in 1880 it was changes into a public garden. There are around 10 man-made ponds and lakes that are distributed throughout the garden. So here visitors may have a picnic while enjoying the view of the flora that is naturally grown. There is also a path where visitors may come and jog in the evening. There is no entrance fee here therefore anyone may come here and enjoy the view.
