How to Get to Hotel Traveller

The Kota Kinabalu Airport is the main airport where out of state travellers usually arrive if they take came in by flight. Flights from Kuala Lumpur can start from around RM200 to RM250 if bought from a budget airline. It will take about two hours and 40 minutes if the flight is direct from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. From the Kota Kinabalu International Airport, guests can opt to take either a taxi or an e-hailing service to get to the hotel. If guests rent a car, they can get to the Hotel Traveller by taking Jalan Kepayan and Jalan Coastal.

Different Types of Rooms in Hotel Traveller

Standard rooms can accommodate up to two adult guests. Some Standard rooms have windows, while others do not. These 12 square meter rooms are equipped with one double bed.

Twin Room is 12 square meters with two twin beds. This room is suitable for two full grown adults.

Double Room can fit up to three adults with a queen bed in the room. Double Rooms that have a window are 10 square meters big. Double Rooms with no windows are slightly bigger at 12 square meters.

Deluxe Double are rooms with two queen beds. These rooms are 12 square meters big with city views and can fit up to 4 adults.

Family Rooms offered by the hotel has one queen bed and one twin bed. The rooms can fit up to three adults and are 12 square meters.

Deluxe Quad is a big 26 square meter room with two queen beds.

Right beside the Hotel Traveller’s front entrance is a Chinese restaurant called Wong Kok Restaurant. It is open 24 hours, seven days a week. The restaurants offer a large variety of food such as Tom Yam Seafood, Laksa Seafood, Kon Lau Mee, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Wantan Mee Soup Kampung Style fried rice, Cha Sao and many more. If guests prefer a different type of cuisine, there are plenty of other restaurants for Hotel Traveller guests to try within walking distance of the hotel.

Less than 200 meters from the hotel is Center Point Sabah. The food court is located at the basement level of the building. Guests can have breakfast, lunch and even dinner here. There are six levels of the shopping area that includes a departmental store. The Center Point also has a 28 lane bowling centre, a cinema and a family recreation centre. At the basement level, visitors to centre point can enjoy a meal from the many dining options that are offered at the food court.

Filipino Market - The Filipino Market is a famous tourist attraction and a must visit place for anybody coming to Kota Kinabalu. The market is actually divided into three areas- Central Market, Handicraft Market and Fish Market. Tourists usually focus on the Handicraft Market where there are many stalls selling locally handcrafted items. Guests can find leather bags, batiks, t-shirts and wooden handicrafts. A popular item sold here are fresh and seawater pearls in various colours, shapes and sizes. These pearls can be bought individually or as bracelets, necklaces, earrings, brooches and more.
