Kuching Cat Museum

Kuching Cat Museum is established in 1993 under the Kuching North City Hall management, located at Bangunan DBKU, Bukit Siol, Jalan Semariang, Petra Jaya which is about thirty minutes away from the landmark. A brainchild of the former Sarawak chief minister Abdul Taib Mahmud and wife Laila Taib, the museum consists of 1,035 square meters of area which is massively dedicated to feline interests, with almost four thousand collections of artefacts which includes paintings and memorials of cats. While the museum is free of charge for public visits, there are a separate three ringgit fee for taking photos and five ringgit fee for videos. It is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm and closed during public holidays.
