Carpeted room. Stayed at deluxe twin bed, spacious! Got green tea sachets, small water bottle. Ironing facilities are located at the end of the floor. Hair dryer can be requested. They provide newspaper too (Star/HMetro). Breakfast are okay. The guard reserved our parking. For less than RM120, the one night stay was a very good bargain!! Recommended!! Thanks Traveloka and Merdeka Hotel, keep it up!
Large room space. Convenient to town. Great location. Clean bathroom.
Aircond not good, very hot, not cold
Good experience. Friendly staff in the hotel. The only disappointment is the faulty electrical elements. The first room we were put in with the aircon not functioning. However the front counter staff is kind enough to change a room for us. Nevertheless, the bathroom bulb is not functioning well in the second room.
It is good for wedding reception- bertandang. plenty of space for family to gather
Breakfast too simple and the nasi lemak a bit salty
My kids love this hotel so much...looking forward to come here again...
Bed got some hair. Room got smoke smell. Otherwise can be more improvement.

Lovely stay
The hotel has mixed of classic and modern style. And antiques elevator which interesting for me. For some sort of old hotel, its very comfortable plus the room service is good and nice breakfast. P/s: hope they already repair the leakage at the wall n roof. When i stay there, its raining and water dripping from roof at hallway

Probably the only decent hotel in Kluang
Stayed here on 28th July. Booked 5 rooms for my family.Checked in was smooth and fast. Front desk receptions were friendly and very accommodative. I have room number 107 overlooking the golf and country club up on the hill. The room is big enough to fit 4 people. The bathroom was clean, no visible mould on the floor. Shower head working good, water pressure is great. Small coffee making facility, with instant coffee sachets for two people. The bed is comfortably soft, with nice and soft pillows. I was given a two-single bed room, although it would be nice if it was a king size bed. Room rate came with free breakfast for two persons. Breakfast was basic, with a small selection of traditional Malaysian “kuih” or cakes and the all-time favourite, the nasi lemak. At the back of the hotel, there is a café that was converted from an old residential house. Seems like it is the favourite place for newlyweds to have their photo shoot done.

Could be better
Chose this hotel because of tripadvisor review. Location about 10 mins drive to Kluang Parade shopping mall and 5 mins drive away to the famous rail coffee. Check in was prompt and room was spacious and clean. Free breakfast provided and there a pub just beside the hotel where you can unwind at night. The only bug bear I had is the low water pressure at level 4. Overall, I still like this place.

Average stay...
This charming little hotel that was once an icon of Kluang boasting the oldest elevator of Kluang surely had its better days. Nevertheless one should not ask for too much given its competitive price tag of less than RM100 per night for a decent spacious room with a queen bed. The beds are still comfortable and clean although the hotel looks a little run down and dated as a whole. Breakfast is basic with very little choices. An average stay in general.

No value for price - too expensive for what it is worth
The hotel was a very very old hotel and recently refurbished. SO they have raised the rates to double of what it was before. They refurbished the room and the lobby at the entrance of the hotel. But the minute you step out the very old lift on your floor, the carpet is very very dirty and old!! they did not change that..that is still from days yonder. The room it self is ok but the curtains are very stained and really very very old..from before..did not change those. They seem to have a drainage problem as the toilets though clean has a very bad smell. Reception not pleasant..no smile at all..even I tried to chat..they just put on a glum face. Breakfast is ok. No car park, if you go out and come back in the evening there is totally no car park as there is a pub in the hotel and all the pub guest take up all the parkings at the hotel and around it..You have to park you car uphill- no security.
