Overview of Putra Brasmana Hotel

Putra Brasmana Hotel is a 3-star property set on Jalan Kampung Perak in Kuala Perlis, Perlis, Malaysia, spread across a single floor with 100 rooms in total. The hotel's defining strength, confirmed directly by its Traveloka listing, is its location: it sits within a 3-minute walk of the Kuala Perlis jetty and about a 5-minute walk from the Kuala Perlis bus station, which makes it a practical base for travelers passing through this small port town on Malaysia's northwest coast. Kuala Perlis itself functions primarily as a gateway town, most visitors pass through en route to or from Langkawi Island by ferry, or connect onward to Kangar, the state capital of Perlis, which is reachable a short ride away. For guests whose priority is minimizing transit friction between a ferry crossing, a bus connection, and a bed for the night, that walkable position between the two transport nodes is the property's most useful and verifiable feature. Traveloka's listing does not publish the hotel's construction or last-renovation year, nor any brand or ownership history, so this overview leans on location rather than a rebrand or design story; travelers wanting that additional background should check directly with the property at booking time.

Room Types at Putra Brasmana Hotel

Putra Brasmana Hotel's Traveloka listing confirms a total inventory of 100 rooms housed on a single floor, but it does not break the inventory down into named tiers (such as Standard, Superior, or Deluxe) or publish specific bed configurations, room sizes, or in-room amenity lists at the unit level. Rather than guess at a tier ladder that isn't confirmed by either Traveloka's data or an accessible official source, the safest and most accurate guidance for travelers is this: rooms at Putra Brasmana Hotel should be expected to include the basics common to a budget-to-midrange 3-star property in this market — air conditioning and a private bathroom are standard assumptions in Malaysian hotels of this class, but travelers should always confirm specific in-room amenities, bedding configuration, and room size directly on the booking page for the date and room option they are viewing, since this can vary by rate plan and season. If a firm room-type breakdown matters for your trip (for example, booking for a family versus a solo traveler), it's worth messaging the property or checking the live room-selection screen on Traveloka before confirming, since the published listing itself does not itemize this by name.

Facilities and Amenities

The facilities Traveloka's listing confirms for Putra Brasmana Hotel are practical rather than resort-style, consistent with its role as a transit-friendly, budget-to-midrange stay rather than a leisure destination in itself. Confirmed amenities include:

  • Restaurant — an on-site dining option, so guests are not required to leave the property for a meal.
  • 24-hour front desk — staff availability for check-in, check-out, and guest assistance at any hour, useful given how many guests arrive on early or late ferry and bus schedules.
  • Free WiFi — internet access is available to guests at no additional charge.
  • Elevator — confirmed on the listing, giving guests with luggage or mobility needs an alternative to stairs.
  • Parking — on-site parking is available for guests arriving by car.
  • Breakfast, with a buffet option available — the listing confirms breakfast is offered and that a buffet format is among the available options.
  • Accessibility features — the listing specifically flags an accessible bathroom, disabled-access-friendly design, and an accessible path of travel, which is a meaningful and specific accessibility commitment for a budget-tier property in a small town.

Because the property's amenity feed does not itemize items like a swimming pool, spa, gym, or bar, none of those are stated here — travelers who need any of those specific amenities should look elsewhere or confirm directly with the property, since asserting an unconfirmed amenity would be inaccurate.

Location and Getting There

Putra Brasmana Hotel's address is on Jalan Kampung Perak in Kuala Perlis, Perlis, Malaysia, 02000. Its single strongest, listing-confirmed location fact is proximity to transport: the Kuala Perlis jetty is about a 3-minute walk away, and the Kuala Perlis bus station is roughly a 5-minute walk, meaning most arrivals and departures from either the ferry terminal (for Langkawi Island crossings) or the intercity bus network can be made on foot without needing a taxi transfer. For travelers continuing on to Kangar, the state capital of Perlis, a short Grab ride is the typical option, though exact fares should always be checked live in the Grab app rather than assumed, since ride-hailing prices fluctuate. Guests flying into the region, or connecting onward by air after their stay, can compare flight options and book air travel directly through Traveloka's flight booking page to plan the rest of a Perlis-Langkawi itinerary in one place. Because Kuala Perlis is a compact port town built around its jetty and market area, most points of interest for a short stopover are within easy walking distance of the hotel, which suits travelers who are here primarily to catch a ferry rather than to sightsee at length.

Dining at and near Putra Brasmana Hotel

Putra Brasmana Hotel operates its own on-site restaurant, confirmed directly on its Traveloka listing, and also offers breakfast with a buffet option, so guests have the choice of eating without leaving the property, which is convenient for early ferry departures or late bus arrivals when nearby options may not yet be open. Beyond the hotel itself, Kuala Perlis is well known regionally as a seafood town, given its position as a fishing port and jetty town, and the area around the jetty and bus station typically has a concentration of local eateries and stalls serving Malaysian and seafood dishes, since it functions as the commercial heart of the town. Travelers who want to explore beyond the immediate area, whether for food, day trips, or sightseeing around Perlis or nearby Langkawi, can browse options through Traveloka's activities listings to see what's bookable in the wider region before or after a stay at the hotel.

Why Stay at Putra Brasmana Hotel

Putra Brasmana Hotel's case for a stay rests on a small number of concrete, listing-confirmed strengths rather than marketing language: a 3-star, 100-room property positioned within a few minutes' walk of both the Kuala Perlis jetty and the town's bus station, with an 8.4-out-of-10 guest review score built from 14 reviews, including sub-scores of 8.1 for cleanliness, 8.1 for room comfort, 8.2 for meals, 8.3 for location, and 8.1 for service and facilities. That combination of a genuinely walkable transport position and consistently solid — if not exceptional — guest feedback across every scored category makes it a sensible, low-friction choice for travelers whose main goal is an overnight stop before or after a Langkawi ferry crossing or a bus connection through Kangar, rather than a resort-style holiday base. The property's accessibility features (an accessible bathroom, disabled-friendly access, and an accessible path of travel) are also worth noting for travelers with mobility needs, since not every budget property in a small transit town makes that commitment. Travelers comparing options in the same area can also browse other hotels in Kuala Perlis on Traveloka to weigh location, facilities, and guest ratings side by side before booking.

Tips for Booking Putra Brasmana Hotel on Traveloka

A few practical points to keep in mind when booking Putra Brasmana Hotel: check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is before 12:00, so plan ferry or bus timings around that window if you're trying to avoid a long wait either side of your stay. Since the property's own listing does not itemize named room tiers, review the live room-selection screen carefully for bed configuration and any rate-specific inclusions (such as whether breakfast is bundled into your chosen rate) before confirming. Malaysia's standard tourism tax is charged per room per night on top of the room rate at most hotels nationwide, including budget properties like this one, so budget for a modest additional charge at check-in rather than expecting the listed rate to be the final figure — the exact amount is best confirmed on the booking page itself rather than assumed. Because Kuala Perlis hotel inventory in this price tier can be limited, especially around peak ferry-travel periods to Langkawi, booking a little ahead of a planned crossing date is generally the safer approach. For the rest of your trip planning, from flights into the region to onward activities, Traveloka's homepage is a good starting point to pull the whole itinerary together in one place.

Every process was so smooth, from before the booking step until I checked out on the last day. I contacted the hotel before booking the room because I wanted to confirm about the size of the room and what view will I get. The staff was so responsive and helpful. Then after booking, I even contacted them again through WhatsApp to ask regarding motorcycle for rental around the hotel area, and again they were good at responding. Unfortunately, there is no rental motor around the area, I just need to go at Kangar to pick up the motor. Grab just RM9 only. Then they were very informative and helpful when I asked about something to do around the area and about the process to go to Langkawi (the ferry schedule) since Kuala Perlis jetty is just 3 minutes walk from the hotel. I can say that all the staff that I encountered was so professional with their work. Breakfast was so good too, and delicious also. Got many spaces inside and outside the restaurant, with a nice view. Room was so big, very clean, very comfortable with their pillow and blanket. Got all the things you need, got iron and ironing board, got hair dryer, got a small fridge. Toilet also clean, towel provided. Kuala Perlis bus station also just a 5 minutes walk.

Pressure water pressure (for shower) in the bathroom is very very low. It 's almost impossible to have a proper shower. I end up using their bidet to bath. And the towel is very old, smell and even looks dirty. Other than that I have no complaint.
