Lack of accommodation and facilities. Suppose to have bike or motorcycle rent so that we can explore and enjoy more. Place is peaceful but not friendly

Picturesque view from the hotel room. The breakfast is buffet of local Malay, Chinese and western breakfast. The people are nice and very attentive to our needs. No WiFi at the hotel rooms though. Mobile signal is poor but we cannot blame the hotel, it's the location so it is acceptable.

- Family vacation
Nice old hotel but not well kept. Scenery amazing but carpets generally old and shower needs to be replaced. Water just trickled out. If you are considering having scones and tea. Check on freshness as the ones we had were stale.

Could do a lot better. In need of renovation.
Very mouldy, smelly room initially allocated. Do not stay on Level 1. Moved to a higher floor - a little better but still smelly but with a leaking toilet, blocked drain and flashing light in the bathroom. Very poor customer service. Everything takes a lot of effort and when one thing is achieved something else goes wrong. Remember to switch on the hot water - the switch is in the corridor outside your room. Remember to turn it off too as we ended up with boiling hot water coming out of the cold water tap. No flexibility in service provision. Dinner order completely confused. Not one person got what they had ordered. I imagine that there is not much competition in Fraser's Hill so the hotel gets away with poor customer service.

In the middle of the town
Location is in the middle of the town near the clock tower. Rooms are airy and neat. The balcony is too small and opens up into the golf course. Food is slightly expensive but good. Other eateries are out near by. Wifi is available only in lobby and was not working for most of the time we were there. Toilets needs to be more clean. Hot water available only in morning. Shower is located low and hence difficult for a 6 feet tall person.

Shahzan Inn - Is it Worth the Stay?
Fraser Hill have only limited number of hotels where you can stay and also limited set of activities that you can do there. It is a place for relaxation and nature. If you are thinking of party, pubs and theme parks then Genting is your destination. This hotel is situated near the mid town of Fraser Hill and when you arrive, it looks like a good small hotel. The reception service is average. The room was decent. No air conditioning because of the weather and the only way to ensure a cool room is to open the windows and doors to let in the cold air. There is no fan at all in the room so if you are thinking of closing all windows and doors, you will have a stuffy warm room. There is no safe in our room. The beds are clean with 1 pillow. There is only 1 plug point in the entire room that works and it was plugged into the TV. We had to switch between TV and charging our devices. The bathroom is decent with a shower. When I went in to take a shower, cold water comes out of the shower even when try both taps. I found out the the Hot Water Switch is outside the room in the hallway where any one passing by can just switch it off. Where is the logic in putting the hot water power switch outside of the room in the hall way. I had to walk out in my towel and hold the door open to switch on the hot water. Luckily my towel did not fall off or I was not locked out, it would have been embarrassing. They only provide very basic amenities ie shower cap, Bath Gel and Shampoo. No toothbrush, razor, hair dryer or any other. The towels are clean. The breakfast, lunch and dinner is ok. The food is good (not great). What is Good? Price is reasonable. It is near the town center. There is a small sundry shop and cafe right outside the hotel entrance. Lots of greenery and they even have a bird feeder which allows you to see nice birds in the morning and late afternoon. Clean room. What is NOT Good? No air conditioning and no fan. You need to leave the window and balcony door open if you want the room to be cool. No safe hence very dangerous to leave you door or window open. Hot water switch outside the room in the walkway 10 feet from the room door (what were they thinking?) Lack of parking space.

Clean and comfortable
We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a group. Our room, 104, was on the first floor, there is a lift but it was easier to just take the stairs. Our twin beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. Plenty of storage space. The windows have mesh on them so that you can get fresh air without getting any insects in the room. No air con needed as the temperature outside is fresher than KL. There was a door that opened onto a small balcony with a view over to the golf course. Kettle, tea and coffee and two bottles of water are provided in the room. The bathroom was a decent size with a shower over a very deep bath. The switch for the hot water is outside the room, in the corridor, so remember to switch it on when returning to the room. It only took 10 minutes to heat up. The rooms were made up every day and towels changed when requested. The restaurant food was good and the breakfast was plentiful. Friendly staff, nice and quiet at night except when they had a function on. There is a bank, ATM and small shop on site. The shop sells essentials and has a very friendly man who likes to chat to the visitors that he gets in. We got our cheapest Tiger Beer at his shop, 8RM for a can. The hotel is now Halal so no alcohol is served or allowed in the restaurant. Reasonable prices for same day laundry. Definitely recommended.

Simple Hotel
Don't expect too high expectation on this hotel. Hotel looks old & lack of maintenance. Clean room and bed. For the price we paid, I think still alright to stay for a night at Fraser hill. Come with free Breakfast buffet
