Nice resort. Beautiful and clean.
Okay. Food was great. But the cupboard was leaking. My clothes were wet from the water leaks. Everything else was okay.
Nice place nice view for sunset
Water heater not function, not pays astro bill, only have tv3, tv9, tv2
good location, near to private romantic beach, quite area. nice view for breakfast and buffet dinner. near to jetty as well
Amazing view with private beach and helpful staff
It was great for the standard at perhentian kecil. A room which is enough for two and clean bathrooms. The only downside of it is the public restroom is a little not well maintain otherwise the place is great.
Great with friendly reception. Breakfast was good. Dinner not as per print.
Worth for money, and they have good locat

Terrible, left after 2 of 6 nights!
Avoid at any cost! This was my worst hotel experience ever. We didn't felt welcome, the stuff was unfriendly, the restaurant very dirty and the food even worse. Not one of the staff members was helpful or nice. The rooms are OK and clean for Malaysian standards but for that price tag, I'd expect more. Especially in shoulder season. We initially booked 6 nights but cancelled our stay on the island after two nights as the whole island is a money making machine, sinking in dirt and trash. But the worst part are actually the people. We found one guy that smiled on the whole stay (working at Onbak Divers Resort next by). The hotel stuff didn't even bother to ask why nor tried to make us stay. We didn't bother to discuss it any further as at that point, we just wanted to leave the "paradise". It's so sad, because the island itself is so gorgeous and a fantastic place to dive. If you're willing to go there anyway, I'd recommend to stay at "Ombak" and dive with them or the team at "Anti Gravity". It's probably also fine and much cheaper to just hop to the island and book one of the bungalows when you arrive, as most of them can't be found via internet and people come and go constantly.

Great resort!
Personally, I think that this resort is the best that you could find in this island. There are not much resorts on the island actually. Here they provide the Malaysian style chalet which well facilities inside. The room I got was clean and well-maintain. But the reception service was a bit slow and the morning buffet was tolerable.

Not worth it!
I am sure this place was great when it was first built but nothing has been done to it since then. It is very run down and dirty. Our room was not cleaned at all during our visit (and was not very clean when we arrived), I asked reception for new linen and towels and for the room to be cleaned half way through our visit but the only thing that was done was that the beds were made (with the dirty sheets). The bathroom was dirty and the water never ran away down the drain so every time you needed the bathroom you had to walk through water. The towels were torn and very old as were the pillows (they has a sharp stale odour all the time because they were so old). The aircon worked well and the breakfast was fine. I understand that this is island living but this is an expensive place to stay and you expect to pay for what you get. I would recommend that you spend a bit more and stay in ombok or bubu or get a beach hut for cheap. The Shari La is just not worth it.

beautiful view from sha-ri la alfresco!
we had choose pulau perhentian kecik, perhentian island as our first trip anniversary and trip with friends.my husband had arrange everything. we arrived @ 12+ noon on 29th July 2017. at shari-la resort but could not enter the room as it was full. so we had to wait untill 3 + before we finally can enter our room. but the view from the restaurant alfresco amazed me so much. we took the breakfast promo only . breakfast was okey. the coffee set looks bit dirty, but overall was okay. the private beach at shari-la resort was spectacular .. im pregnant 35weeks and i can swim here without any hesitation. feel so great to swim with the fish and to see the coral even near the seashore. but one thing they miss-look was the WiFi. only manage to get the WiFi at the lobby but still the line is not so strong. couldn't get any WiFi at anywhere else. we had booked two different room which is suite and deluxe. the suite room is good and the toilet is spacious. but sad to say that the deluxe room is not so good. the air-conditioner is not functioning well. and the heater is not hot at all. unable to use the telephone at both room. cannot contact receptionist .have to walk to the lobby . quite far and not suitable for pregnant lady like me. check out took little bit of time as well. but overall Shari-la resort is a good place to hang out since the alfresco have a great good view and they have their private beach. thanks you to Shari-la team.
