As announced by Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Tourism Tax is imposed starting 1 January 2023 for all hotel guests that are non-Malaysian or non-permanent Residents of Malaysia. This is to inform that the hotel is a hybrid hotel accepting public guests as well as quarantine guests. But quarantine guests and other normal guests are separated by floors and with different entrance to the hotel. All quarantine guests have undergone 2 swab tests and the risk that any of them has Covid is extremely low compared to other public places.

November 2024, minor renovation works will be carried out in selected rooms on level 2 of Telang Usan Hotel. These renovations and maintenance works are necessary and will allow our valued guests a much more enjoyable stay at Telang Usan Hotel in future. During the renovation period, work will commence from 08:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs. As a result, there will be some construction noise during this period. However, we will do our best to keep the noise to a minimum. We apologize for any inconvenience it may cause and your understanding is much appreciated. I like staying here. Old hotel, but still OK. Spacious room, clean, and very calm place. The breakfast, not a buffet, but they give two options: Asian & western menu. I try both. Especially Laksa sarawak. Superb!
