Costa Alegre Hotel & Suites

The staff was wonderful, the bathrooms had lots of room. The international menu had lots of variety.

Enjoy my stay at this beautiful hotel walking distance to the beach.

Food was just ok.

Property is falling apart, all door frames rusted, it really needs to be remodel.

The staff was very friendly, we enjoyed our stay there so much. Even when the staff didn’t speak English they made sure we got what we asked for

Perfect place to stay

This is a great place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

For an all inclusive there should be an open bar for drinks in the morning. Limited coffee selection until restaurant opens at 8 Not enough lounge chairs. I won’t be back for those reasons

Everything was good

Listen, this was partially our fault for not really paying attention to the listing. This property was so far from being an all inclusive of the standards I’ve been at. The beach was full of nationals having a grand time with their tents chairs families and music. Nice to see, but there was NO accommodation (beach chairs) for us. The lock on the door was broken. The room felt desolate with a defunct kitchen taking up a huge space. The safe was broken with no way to protect valuables. It was no what we expected at all. We got out of their within a day and they hotel was gracious enough to return the unused portion. We booked ourselves elsewhere.

This is the BEST place to go if you want a rest and recharge. The beach is pristine andthe staff is amazing. Yes, it's an older building but they keep it so clean and update the best that they can. If you are expecting 5 star it's not for you. If you want the best location and staff and a very clean hotel, then give this place a try.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Location is perfect and everything you need is all walkable . Very clean with non stop maintenance going on . This shows pride in the resort . We loved the beach

The property is very well kept. The beach is nice but lounge chairs are reserved early in the morning by guests with towels over them so you have to get a VERY early start if you want lounge chairs. The service is very good but if you’re expecting a traditional all-inclusive, you will be disappointed. There are set meal times for food and alcohol is only available from 11 am until midnight.

we enjoyed our stay even added 1 more day all staff very helpful and friendly the meals were very good and lot of choices grounds well kept as same to pool could have more seating on the beach would go back good value

Staff was friendly and very helpful. The hours that the only restaurant is open are inconvenient. The rooms are dated however satisfactory. The location is wonderful. Overall I would recommend this place. Please don't expect it to be like some of the large all inclusive resort chains.

This is a great little place. It is in need of upkeep. Cleaning inside was great, outside areas, not as much. Limited choices for food, bit overall was good.

Staff

My sister & I visited in January 2025. We chose this resort because it was a modest size, away from the hustle & bustle of the big city. Also, we had read reviews that it was popular with Mexicans, which we figured that was a good endorsement, and would make it more interesting (it did). Other things we liked during our stay: great food, with many choices, including both Mexican and N American style. All well cooked. The beach was beautiful, with powdery sand, and kms long; great for walking. Loved the view from our room. It was also very handy to town. The resort staff were wonderful and helpful. Things we were not crazy about: noisy in the evenings, with entertainment in the pool area (there was nowhere in the resort you could escape it)...unless of course, you were participating in the entertainment activities and games...which we did and it was really fun. Sometimes the resort also blasted music toward the beach...which spoiled any relaxing. The endless parade of vendors up & down the beach, all with the same things (jewellery, braid-making, tattoo-making, etc), all asking you if you wanted something. They weren't pushy, but you had to keep saying "No, gracias", which was interruptive and made you feel a bit guilty. Would we go back? Not sure.

The room smelled and the pillows smelled like sweat, I believe the blankets needed to be washed.

Great waterfront location with excellent staff. Building and property in need of a few repairs and upgrades but otherwise a very nice spot.
