Sheraton Buganvilias Resort & Convention Center

Overall hotel condition was old and fitness center was far in other side of property. Staff were not very helpful. Not staying here again.

This is our third time there. We LOVE this place for the cleanliness, the FRIENDLY staff and the grounds are beautiful!!!!! The food is amazing!!!!! Also within walking distance to the Malacon. We will continue to come back and have told our friends also.i

Front desk few people rude. Food servers very humble. Ricardo ,belen and miguel very nice and helpful.

Bed was comfortable, property well maintained. Resort was mostly an older crowd or young families.

Stayed there due to an lsat minute flight cancellation. Paid through the nose. Had a quick substandard pizza in their restaurant and went to bed to be woken every 2 hours with noise from staff in the hall or from the adjoining room. Pretty disappointing for the price and hotel level. Wouldn’t recommend or return.

Food was excellent! Staff is awesome! Beach is too rocky and not good for swimming but that's not the resorts fault. Fortunately the swimming pools make up for it. Two heated pools, one hidden whirlpool that is warmer. At times during the day it can be noisy, room doors slam very easily. The sound of carts moving around can be heard at all hours but not frequently, it's a big operation there so it's a necessity. Overall it was amazing and would love to come back.

We enjoyed everything about our stay from the room to the food, service and activities available. Special mention to Marianna, Jimena and Ivan who were amazing at keeping guests entertained with countless activities from exercise classes to daily alcohol tastings! Great job guys.

Very nice hotel, a bit old. We didnt stay in all inclusive plan so drink was expensive. I wish there are more entertainment. Overall its good , great for family.

Great location, great staff and a twenty minute walk to the Malecon.

I've been going there for 20 years and the property never disappoints. For a property like this to be kept in top condition, inside and out, if not improved every year, is a major and reliable feature. No small task. We stayed in the hotel portion this trip and the only, yet not insignificant issue, would be that the beds and pillows were less than comfortable.

no adult only pool anymore. Too much pressure to buy into the vacation club upon arrival. Staff did not want to take no for an answer. Excellent room service and daily maid service. Sunday brunch was very nice.

We have stayed at the Sheraton many times because of the great service, lovely grounds, lobby, beach, and location. Easy to walk to Malecón, grocery store, pharmacy and countless restaurants. Added bonus- beds are heavenly! So comfortable; this may be a recent update. The walk to the Malecon is short and safe, but you do walk past some unsightly “scenery”. Pool area is pristine and perfectly situated for whale watching, gorgeous sunsets. We’ll definitely return.

First time staying here vs. a more budget hotel (Canto/Krystal/Pelicanos Grand/Friendly). The cost worked out to $200 more a night and we were in the cheapest tier room (garden view ground floor). While a decent stay, we expected better for that kind of cost difference. Front desk was very nice (unlike cheaper resorts) and concierge was super helpful!! Hats off to concierge. Service at the poor bar was great. Service poolside and lobby bar was non-existent though. There were pool servers but only a few and they could only look after a few tables out of hundreds. We are great tippers but they never got the chance to find out. Same with the lobby bar. In 10 days we got asked if we would like a drink once and it was after one of us already went up. One afternoon, we even had to walk to the lobby bar and wait in line to get a drink to bring back while sitting at the pizzeria. You cannot just get a snack in the afternoon. After 2pm, when the snack bar closes, you can only be served by a pool lounger and there is no loungers or any service at the them anyways. Weird to make it so difficult to get a snack at an AI. We saved a lot of money on tips! Food was okay but buffet warmers did not work. Some a la carte food was abysmal. Some was great (Gaviotas). Beds were good. You get a terrace on the low floors otherwise no balcony so we were happy with that and no view. Nothing online re: restaurant times, offerings, is accurate so have your expectations lowered.

Very, very clean, great security, friendly & very cordial staff. My entire party has always felt very safe at this Hotel and in Puerto Vallerta. I like that we must wear wristbands - to me, it’s an another level of security. Love this Hotel!

Our room was not clean when we arrived. The table in the room was never cleaned, and there was half empty soda bottles from the previous guest in the refrigerator. We called the front desk and informed the staff. They couldn't adequately speak English. The table was never cleaned the entire time we were there. The room next to ours left trays, plates and food in the hallway across from our rooms, and it was not picked up for what seemed like one and a half days.

Great pool and swim up bar. Beautiful building and rooms were renovated. Many restaurants to choose from if you don’t want to go out and explore.
