The resort was great. The lounge chairs in the sun terrace room were pretty worn down. And the sports bar is NOT included in the all inclusive option and you couldn’t bring drinks in from other spots.

The staff and resort was awesome. I liked the idea of the European plan therefore I wasn't always feeling like I had to eat at the resort so got to explore some great places to go. The pool and anemies were good. On the European plan it is cheaper to eat al a cart verses buffet and I find I can't eat enough to justify the buffet. Tip your waiters directly they really appreciate that and give great service. The fiesta night every Thursday is very with while going to. Great location so you can walk to Malacon and around the town. The mattresses could be upgraded. They were a bit hard and the water in the shower s temperature was not consistent.

The resort itself is very well maintained and clean - too efficient in cleaning that it constantly has wet floors everywhere (and full of cleaning staff) and rooms being fixed at 9 pm (I will get into this later in this review). Overall: very up to par for JW Marriott group resort for the view, location and architect itself. Has only 2 pools (both quite small) - one by the main desk is full of all inclusive drunk party groups all day long and the other pool is somewhat quieter but lots of kids. they also have bungalows by the beach and part of the beach front is shared with a public access - but doesn't get too busy or crowed. Has beautiful gardens and views of the whole PV and the sunset is amazing every night. There are 4 or 5 upscale restaurants - we only tried Gaviotas for my husband's bday. There is starbucks inside the resort and a very small gym. Not a lot of entertainment compared to other all inclusive resorts. The location is pretty good - 15 min cab ride from the airport, 5 min walk to the Malecon and close to residential areas across the street where you can find cheap and really good tacos. Staff are friendly (most of the times) - Orlando from our breakfast buffet is the best overall - he is just happy and genuine person - he always greeted us with excitement and remembers what we usually order and very attentive (compared to other dinning staff). Here are some takeaways: Beach: the sand is more like tiny rocks-make sure you have water shoes because it can be quite painful making your way down to the actual beach Area around property: it is kind of far from all the action Bathroom/shower: if you’re staying with others in the room it can be quite awkward using the restroom because the doors don’t lock, it swings and they’re frosted doors-you can still see Laundry: they only offer laundry services where a single shirt can run $4, no washers/dryers Pool: the pools are very nice! The have two and one is more lively than the other, at least when we went Staff: everyone was soooo nice! The activities crew by the pool is so goo at remembering names and they were by far my favorite thing about being at the pool (other than catching some sun of course)

This is a very family friendly resort! Both pools are beautiful. Good was great. Location outstanding. Lots to walk to. Most staff were friendly but some not very attentive. Room was lovely. Over all I highly recommend !

Good experience

Rooms: clean. Cleaning staff are great and friendly. Fridge always restocked. Comfiest bed and pillows-hard to wake up! Pool: two pools. One has a jacuzzi. Both very large and spacious. I wish there were stairs on the opposite end of the pool. It’s very difficult for my parents to get in and out of the pool. I also believe the swim up bar should not allow kids but it is what it is. Aside from that, the pool is great and so is the pool/oceanside service. Gama and Mariano are absolutely wonderful. Good attitudes, hard working, and fun to chat with. You don’t have to lift a finger when you’re there. It’s truly a relaxing time when you’re there. Breakfast: The most DELICIOUS! Everything is very fresh. Tortilla hecho a mano! Homemade type of food. I can’t stand buffets like the RIUs and Dreams, etc and this is nothing like that. If you get Asuncion and Manny as your servers, you are guaranteed to have the best service and gain two new friends. The nicest people! Even the hostess in front are gems.

From arrival to check-out the staff were awesome and friendly! So much to do on resort and they were very helpful with offsite bookings and transportation. Highly recommend.

The pool area was awesome. If you’re in the mood to be around the party, just hang out by the pool bar. If you’re in the mood for quiet, hang out at the vacation club pool that has the jacuzzi. The beach access is also awesome! Best restaurant was Umai, I highly recommend it!

Our room was very close to the lobby. We could hear the noise from the lobby as though it was right outside our door. They played music from 7:30 a.m. right through until about 11:00p.m. This was quite annoying at times and made it difficult to sleep during these times. They really need to fix this issue by installing sound reducing doors.

It was absolutely perfect! Location was excellent, rooms were clean (we upgraded to a terrace and what a great decision that was!), so close to excellent restaurants and the Malecon.

If you are looking for a true all-inclusive i would not stay here. They have to many rules on what you can have and drink. The beach was nothing but rocks.
