The accommodation is amazing from the beginning to the end. Amazing setting, in the medina (note that the taxi cannot get to the entrance, which is clearly mentioned in the hotel website and comments). Amazing history throughout the accommodation, in the common areas as well as the rooms. The staff were friendly, showing great hospitality, professional. They helped with choices of restaurants, recommendations of places of interest. The hotel was very clean. The swimming pools were nice, clean and refreshing. Facilities were great throughout. Breakfast was served extended hours and was rich. Internet worked really well.

The staff at this property are among the best I have ever come across in all of my travels. These people absolutely go above and beyond do everything to make you happy and comfortable. I cannot say enough about them. The facilities are amazing, including the rooftop. So many places to sit and they’re arranged in such a lovely fashion. The little bar on the first floor with the fireplace, was something we enjoyed every single day with a glass of wine. The property is absolutely beautiful. Our only issue was our room had a very odd and unpleasant smell. No matter how much we tried to air it out, it didn’t seem to go away. In addition to that, our air conditioner in the bedroom, also put off and unpleasant smell, so we had to stop using it. Finally, the bathroom did not feel very clean and I did not want to walk around without shoes on, and the shower does not have a door, so there is a propensity to get the floor pretty wet. (And they will not give you e tea towels) The handheld shower was almost falling off of the wall, so we had to hold it, which makes hair washing difficult. Oh and the handheld will scald you if you have the temp on too hot. No scald controls. (We just laughed about that part, TBH). I would still recommend because the staff and main areas are so wonderful. And the breakfast and dinner in the restaurant/ courtyard are absolutely wonderful.

Very nice and characterful property, really interesting to look around and sit in all the different areas. Location very convenient to walk around the city, and felt enough off the beaten track to take you away from the chaos. Breakfast offering was pretty good, and reception staff were really helpful and friendly. Service staff in the bar and restaurant were a bit less helpful but we tended to go out to eat instead. We stayed in the Berber suite, which was massive and very nicely decorated with a large private patio and outdoor area to relax. The only downside was the bathroom door didn't give much privacy. There were decorative holes in the top of the door as well as the door not really fitting in the doorframe, so you might be a bit uncomfortable if you're bothered by that sort of thing... a downside to the bespoke decorative doors I suppose!
