We stayed for 2 nights and welcomed 2020 here and we couldn't have picked a better place to be. Ram was our guide and he also ensured that our stay was comfortable and took care of any requests we had. We were the only guests for the two nights as it is low season during winter time but we cannot recommend a better time to visit Nepal in general. All the other staff at the resort were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the other guides were also super friendly and chatty and happy to share stories. We did the canoe tour on our first day and was treated to an array of birds and gators etc which ended with some snacks and drinks in a secluded corner for us to catch the sunset. On our second day we decided to start our morning with a jungle walk followed by a Jeep drive after. We saw everything we wanted to except for tigers and sloth bears which are rare sightings anyway. The rhinos came out in full force after lunch, there were hundreds of deers and monkeys, great hornbills and the list goes on... Food at the resort was fantastic and the chef was happy to cater to our dietary requests. Portions were huge though so you might want to tell them in advance that you don't eat much. My husband and I were initially concerned about coming since I'm pregnant but we had no issues at all and would've extended our stay if we weren't on a tight schedule.

Staying at Sarang Wildlife at Chitwan was one of our best experiences. Right from the cleanliness of our accommodation to service and accessibility of staff, everything was a 10/10. Our rooms were just as seen on the website - spacious, clean and luxurious. The staff and their service was impeccable! We had forgotten to give them prior notice of our dietary needs and yet, it took them all of one hour to prepare the most delicious and finger-licking meal for us (FYI, the dietary requirement was that of a “Jain” meal). As far as the safari is concerned, we happened to visit just immediately prior to the onset of the monsoons, so we weren’t able to spot any rhinos. Nonetheless, our guide, Harka and the elephant rider relentlessly took all effort to help us spot one (including by increasing our safari time by a whole 30 minutes!). FYI - the property is located in the buffer zone of the National Park accordingly, the safaris arranged for you will also be in that area and not inside the actually National Park, unless otherwise requested. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and definitely recommend it.
