Hilton The Hague

A little disappointing considering this is a Hilton brand. We arrived very early after a long 13hr flight but were told at come back at 3pm to check in, and not offering an earlier check in - some empathy would have gone a long way but it did not happen. Further disappointment came when we were assigned a low floor room facing the carpark entrance/exit with no view, and to make it worse (since we can’t really open the curtains for where we are facing), the room was dimly litted. The shower was another problem as although it had an enclosure, water would get out and wet the whole bathroom floor. Whilst our room smelt fine, the carpet just outside smelt of pee (not sure if they allow pets in the hotel). The TV channels had no entertainment channels - mostly news channels and it isn’t a smart TV that you can connect to your own digital services as well. Breakfast was ok although no much of a variety, but can pass. All being said, staff were nice and friendly which made up for the disappointments. For the price, I probably won’t choose this hotel again as I think there are hotels which are nearer to the old town.

The location is within a 10-minute walk of great restaurants and shopping. The room was clean and spacious. There is no air conditioning, so it was warm. Opening the windows helped a bit. If you want to check in earlier than 3pm, there is a EUR 45 fee. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had lots of variety. I’m gluten-free (Celiac) and they even had gf cereal.

Excellent breakfast, hotel in a very good location for shopping and transport options

We picked the hotel because of its location and parking. There are museums, restaurants, and shopping center nearby. The front desk staff was very efficient and friendly for our check-in. Although the layout of the bathroom was a little odd, the room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast.

The staff was amazing. The entire place was clean. The beds are a bit hard and the glass bathroom provides no privacy. Whomever designed a barn door for a bathroom needs a new profession. Overall it was lovely.

A good choice

Room itself was good. Had a bit of a problem with service one day. One of us was sick so we had to stay in room. Asked reception for cutlery and water. No response after an hour so rang again. Reception said it was housekeeping but they would look after it. After another 45 minutes I went to the restaurant myself and got cutlery and water. Restaurant staff were aware of my request and front desk also were. Both apologised but after nearly 2 hours waiting I was really annoyed!

Hilton The Hague is such a wonder place to stay. Room decoration is modern yet business friendly. The environment surrounding the hotel provides lots of things to visit within walking distance. I definitely recommend it to business travellers.
