Hotel Atlanta

The staff was pleasant and always helpful, the room was clean and breakfast was good.

It was an absolute delight from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The room was spacious and clean, providing the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring. The location was also ideal, with convenient access to nearby town, restaurants and not far from the station. Very good continental breakfast. Nice roof top terrace to relax. Overall, my experience was nothing short of exceptional, and I can't wait to return for another unforgettable stay.

Hotel wordt gewaardeerd met 4 sterren en goede recensies, waar die vandaan komen is ons een raadsel. Hotel is oud, gehorig, niet heel erg schoon, ontbijt mag best wat luxer (nep croissants en harde broodjes uit plastic kan echt niet!!!). Hotel bed lag goed en het is op zeer korte loopafstand van Valkenburg centrum, grote pre! Onze algehele indruk was dat het hotel n flinke renovatie nodig heeft om weer van deze tijd te zijn. Personeel bij ontvangst rommelig en bij vertrek niet geïnteresseerd in onze ervaring in hun hotel, waarschijnlijk omdat ze het antwoord al weten. Jammer!! Voor ons niet nog eens en ook geen aanrader.

The town of Valkenburg is about a ten-minute train ride away from Maastricht and a wonderful place to visit. Hotel Atlanta has a great location to experience so much of Valkenburg. Atlanta also have an exceptional team who are incredibly friendly and helpful, they could not do enough to make my stay enjoyable. The breakfast is plentiful and varied, and I was able to start my day off with a great cup of coffee! Comfortable room, wide-screen TV, plenty of hot water and the convenient location means value for money. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Hotel is dated but clean. Conveniently located but can be a bit noisy early in the morning. Breakfast was offered however we did not partake. Parking conveniently located and affordable. Normal hotel amenities were supplied.

It was good hotel , excellent location, nice stuff, comfortable, but reception is so narrow. Room was good but small with single bed although when looking at details of room it is mentioned double bed , breakfast was excellent, cleanliness was excellent, staff was very cooperative,location of hotel is in the center of Valkenberg in which you walk couple of minutes to arrive to the middle of downtown, overall evaluation is really good .i recommend strongly for families with children , friends, couples,

Lovely area, however very quiet during stay with many shops, restaurants and amenities closed. Maybe not the best time of the year to visit.

It was ok! Not a 4* but maybe things are different there, I've never tried a 3*. My room was tiny and had only one pillow, but i did only book a single. Wifi was alright but disconnected due to week signal a lot so I left it by the door and it happily streamed a movie for me. The hotel is dated and just a bit tired! My advice? Go book a deluxe room at the hotel 2000 down the road, closer to the station, better service and much better wifi and TV! And a lot cheaper :).

1) The room size was "tiny". The shower area was too small for me to dry off after having a bathe. I had to go outside of the shower area to wipe off instead. 2) The sink faucet was leaking and if I turned on the pressure even more it would leak onto my body. 3) There was no tissue paper provided at all to my room. I asked Management,and they said they provided extra towels. To which I asked how do you use a towel to clear your nose!? 4) The heater in the hotel room was not working. Only at the check-out did Management say that I could call to ask for the heater to be turned on !?! 5) And finally when I was checking out, Management said that I had to pay for the hotel stay; I mentioned that it was already paid for when I booked my ticket and she said that it showed on the computer screen, 'customer pays the hotel upon checkout' (or something to that effect). Only when I asked repeatedly to check did Management realise the mistake. And no apology was made to me on this point here. I asked why was it earlier said to me that I had to pay for the hotel stay and there was no satisfactory answer given. I had a feeling that the hotel managment was not thorough in the check-out process and overlooked giving good, honest and respectable service. 6) The hotel provided pigeon holes for us to keep our keys in when we left the hotel room; which I thought was nice to have. Yet I could open every other pigeon hole with my key. Which defeats the whole purpose.

WE ENJOYED OUR STAY VERY MUCH ,HOTEL WAS VERY WELL LOCATED AND STAFF WAS VERY NICE TOO,OUR ROOM WAS SMALL BUT ADEQUATE.

The staff were so wonderful. Made us dinner even though dinner service was over. Room was stocked with toys for the kids. So personal & comfortable. Loved it.

First of all one must remember that there are few facilities within the area that are not run down or sub standard relative to real four and five star properties around the world. This facility lacked Internet except in the small and crowded lobby area. However, the staff and owners attention to detail, helpful manner and clean facility made it a very reasonable value for the money. I can certainly recommend it as a good facility for the area. If your expectations are reasonable for the area, they will likely be exceeded.

This hotel is a scam. Customers beware! Three out of the supposed four stars are slapped on purely for decoration. The rooms are terrible, dark, small and with outdated furniture. The shower in the room only had warm water once. The reception staff were unbelievably rude and idiosyncratic to the point of outright abusive. Guests are forced to abide to a bizarre regiment of place settings at breakfast and I was rudely told off for not sitting at the table assigned to my room, even though the breakfast room was empty. The fire alarm went off at 01.30am because a guest took a late shower where the steam supposedly had set off the alarm, forcing the entire hotel to evacuate. When the particular guest was presented with a bill for several hundred € for having set off the alarm the night before and refused to pay because of the appalling and sad state of the equipment in the hotel, the staff called the police, who had to calm down - The Receptionist...! If you want to tell a good survival story to your friends, stay here. This is not a hotel to enjoy - it's a hotel to endure! This is the real Fawlty Towers!. Never again...!!!

The hotel was within walking distance of the station. Maastrcht is only a 10 minute train ride from Valkenburg. The room was clean and the staff polite. I left at 6 in the morning and found a box of sandwiches left at the door for me which I really appreciated.

Hotel is situated right near the town restaurants and bars. It is really well maintained and has a lovely decking area on the roof. Staff very helpful. very good for the price. Would definitely go back again
