Thon Hotel Maritim

Very central. The hotel was very clean and friendly. Rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. Everything you would want to eat and much more beside. Highly recommend

Thon standards are high, cannot specify one specific thing.

Forgot my laptop charger in the room and was told the same day a couple of hours later after check out that it couldn't be found.

Great breakfast , even better front desk assistance for local information.

Simple hotel with excellent breakfast that does the job for the weekend. Basic bed with basic amenities in the room for a decent stay. The shuffle board in the lobby was good fun and the breakfast was very good! Location was good as everywhere is walkable.

Great location and hotel! Breakfast was amazing as always! Front desk people were very nice and helpful! The breakfast staff were all very nice and are very attentive to keeping dishes cleared and getting tables cleaned. Would stay here again!

Good location to explore Stavanger. Our room was nice and comfortable but we could have done with a little more hanging space for clothes. Our room did not have blackout blinds so it was quite light in there, even through the summer nights. Breakfast staff were excellent and the buffet was fine for a few mornings but, anyone staying longer, would maybe get a little fed up with the choices.

This is could be a good hotel. It is in a great location. Hotel itself is in good condition. Most of staffs are friendly. Breakfast is great. However, they are two things make me to give them an 3 star. First, our check-in process was terrible. First, the lady asked for my passport. I have been to 12 different hotels in Norway on this trip. No one ever asked me for the passport and I only had to give my name. In the US, you do need identification to check into hotel. I thought well no big deal so I gave her my passport. Then she asked for my Wife’s passport which is odd because the reservation is under my name. We gave her my wife’s passport anyway. Then she told us she could not find our reservation. We had to show her our booking on Expedia, before she was able to find our reservation. To make things worse, at 5 AM the fire alarm got triggered. I waited a little bit just in case it’s a false alarm. It kept going so we had to get dressed up and walked from 5th floor to lobby. Only then they told up it was a false alarm. I have been to many many hotels in my life ranging from five star hotel to cheap motels. Never once I had a false fire alarm in the middle of the night or front desk could not find my reservation. A very unpleasant experience.

Hotel is very central but sits off the road so quiet and peaceful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast choices were good, slightly limited for me as I'm gf/df and vegetarian.

We had a very pleasant stay at Thon Hotel Maritim. The rooms are nice and clean, the breakfast is great with good variety of foods. The hotel is close to the harbor and within walking distance to pretty much everything you would want to see at Stavanger. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Stavanger.

Close to train and bus station, easy to walk to city centre and restaurants.

Great stay at this hotel. Very central and the breakfast was fantastic. Room was very comfortable.

It is close to the city center (shopping), harbor and Norway's oldest church. There's a park with a lake across the street. The downside is parking is a few blocks away.

2 nights stay, fjords and hiking activities. Hotel is easy walking distance to city center. Clean room and friendly staff, Excellent breakfast and dining staff especially Cheryl who explained the cheeses and fish choices at the breakfast.
