Location is everything these days especially in Manila where sometimes you’d prefer to walk rather than get stuck in traffic. This hotel is about 10-minute walk to MOA or the bay. Plenty of options for entertainment or food nearby. Great for when you’re only spending a night and would want to be closer to the airport.

The staff were all very sweet and helpful. But the property is dilapidated and badly in need of renovation. In the halls where there was over broken tiles, they have laid carpet over the top of it. Framing in the rooms is rotting and moldy. Fixtures do not work well, tiles and countertops are cracked, and there are roaches throughout the hotel. Definitely will not be returning.

Always great encounter! Jed, Rj, Niko and the rest of the team are always helpful and friendly!! I no longer stay for the place but for how the staff are so great!! Although the place needs tlc now but I would still keep staying here!

My wife and I love staying at the Golden Phoenix every time we’re in Manila. I do wish that the rooms were better maintained. For example: the bathroom exhaust fan has never worked, the bathroom is way under lit with only one can ceiling light (this makes doing makeup impossible), tv cable is so worn that tv reception is poor, bathroom fixtures need replacing. Also, a bit more attention to general floor cleaning could be improved. If these items were indeed addressed, the Golden Phoenix would be a premier top tier hotel.

I stay here over and over again due to convenience and comfort ability. Staff are always friendly never had any issue. I like the fact that they even recognizes me. few things tho maybe the property do need some touches but other than that everything is always great!

I had to call three times to get towels delivered to my room. The breakfast was terrible with the eggs cold and way over price. One night the neighbor room party until 4 am and I call the front desk and it didn't stop until 4 am. A saw roach at the coffee bar on the second floor.
