Beautiful room, quiet and clean. The bathroom was spectacular with a giant soaking tub. Also, the location was fantastic. My only complaint was I wish I had known there was no lift. We were on the 2nd floor which was about 54 steps up a winding staircase which was a little rough with suitcases.

Great location bang in the middle of Edinburgh.
Beautiful rooms with an amazing bath tub!
Parking was a 10 minute walk so my advice would be to drop off your bags and then go and park.

The shower and the room and bathroom were extremely clean. I asked for a fan and it was given to us in no time.
Would have preferred if the bed waskafw for the third person as it was hard to make from the couch
The website did not mention there are no stairs and the room was on the second floor
It was hard to go up the spiral stairs with the luggage especially for a person with mobility issues

Spacious room in a great location (new town) which we preferred. Very clean which we like. It was quite loud at night, so make sure you have a noise machine or are ok with traffic noise as the windows do not provide much noise insulation. The shower and tub were great and bed was large. It met my expectations!

We stayed in a Deluxe Family Room at Hanover Suites 71 in Edinburgh. The location was excellent — right in the heart of the city and ideal for exploring all the main sights. The apartment was clean and generally comfortable, which we appreciated after a busy day of sightseeing.
However, there were a couple of downsides. The room wasn’t made up for four guests on arrival, so we had to make up our own beds, which was disappointing after a long journey. Additionally, the second room booked was much smaller than the main one, yet both rooms were priced the same, which didn’t feel quite fair.
Overall, a good stay in a great location, but some small details could be improved to make it a better value for money.

Hanover 71 is a nicely restored historical structure, furnishings are nice and all the usual toiletries are provided. The location is also good.
We ate breakfast at the restaurant downstairs and the food was excellent both times. The literature in the room says you get a 20% discount but was actually given a 10% discount which was still appreciated.
Be aware that there is no elevator so if you have any mobility or strength issues, getting to the mid and upper level rooms with luggage will be a challenge.

This was the worst hotel. No warning that the entire downstairs is being reconstructed. Description included a restaurant, but there was none. Not even a vending machine. No one was there to check me in. The door was locked and a housekeepe- we didn’t have a common language- seemed confused by my arrival. My daughter found a note from the staff giving me
Code for all the door locks.
We then had to bring our luggage up 2 flights of spiral stairs in the heat. The carpet was filthy. The room had air conditioning that wasn’t working.
I was told I could get my parking validated for. Reduced rate and the lady who opened the door gave me one that didn’t work for day one, and then I never saw staff again to get one for the second day or to ask why the validation for the first day did t work at the car park they told
me to use.
It was awful. Would not recommend.

Neat place. Note there are 79 steps to the top floor (rooms 8 & 9). No AC if you are there when it is warmer. Enjoyed the separate rooms as we had 3 guests. Quiet room and decently comfortable bed (firm mattress). Would stay again.
