Always friendly warm and inviting staff here. Super close to tiong bahru market hawker and amazing food and beverage options in the area. Convenience store next door is super handy.

Great!Great!Great! Great for Service. Marcus (manager), James and Jacky and the other staff provided excellent service in a most friendly manner. From where to catch the subway and bus to filling up the Malaysia Arrival Card and other inquiries, the service was impeccable. Makes you feel completely at ease. And at home. Great for Cleanliness. The facility is modern and very well maintained. Absolutely clean and air conditioning was very cool and quiet. Location was quiet. Great for location. Very close to the Singapore General Hospital and Tiong Bahru Market and Food Centre. If you want to get a feel of Singapore’s old culture and heritage housing, you are in the midst of it. Tiong Bahru Market Food Centre is within 200 metres. The whole area is a place for the locals to feed - many great eateries from morning 7 am (Tiong Bahru Market Food Centre) to the numerous small restaurants where the locals congregate. The bus stop is within 100 metres and the subway within 300 metres. Catch the bus to the subway. The bus brings you right to the subway system. Because it is in a well trafficked area, there are numerous bus services. It is within singapore$10-15 to Orchard Road by taxi if you don’t want to ride in the subway. Book with confidence and stay with comfort. We stayed in March 2026 and will return in April 2026 after visiting Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok. My wife and I travel extensively in Asia and this is one hotel we can heartily and happily recommend.

Nice simple hotel in a nice quiet part of Singapore, but with bus and train connections nearby. Convenience store right next door and an historical hawkers food market only 4 mims walk away with over 80 different stalls. Marco and his team are friendly and polite, the facilities are well maintained and the for Singapore it's good value

Faucet at the sink was leaking. Water pressure was very weak, water flow out of sink faucet so slow like dripping. Room has no refrigeraytor, room size so small. Location is good, walkable distance to market .

The hotel is in a convenient and safe place near public transportation stations (MRT) When staying there get your own toilet paper.

Overall very clean but the bathroom/shower area had a bit of mildew in the grout. Understandable considering the humidity in Singapore. No window which made it very hard to tell what time it was. The location was fantastic with it being very close to a hawker centre and next door to a Cheers convenience store.

Good service, nice stuffs

Quickest check in I have ever experienced. The rooms were clean, neat and tidy with very comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend.

Very helpful staff. Originally I booked for a queen size bed then I changed it to twin bed and he waived the extra fee. When I checked out James was very helpful and he even gave us tips on how to get to our next destination.

Found bugs in the room. Bathroom very outdated.

A very basic hotel in a charming older neighborhood. Closer to transportation and restaurants and cafes. Don't miss a visit to the Monkey God Temple. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Recommendation: Search for another hotel! You will not get lucky or satisfied in this one. Hotel is close to a an Underground station from where you can go to the City that is really good. The hotel is really a basic hotel. Reception is really small and all the hotel is really old-school and the furnite not the newest one and also not in the best condition. The room is really shaby so it does not feel clean. The room is smelling bad and not healthy. In the bad there is a mildew (mold / mould) in the bad that is really unhealthy and discussing. The biggest problem was the not working shower. Even after 2. attempts to sort it out with the receptionist there where no change.So i had to book myself a new hotel to get a shower.

This is a no-frills hotel in a quiet suburban section of the city. The famous Tiong Bahru Market with the huge selection of eating vendors is just a 5 min walk. The area has become increasingly gentrified for the expatriate community. Besides local eateries there are quite a few cafes or bistros for this community. The premises is clean and relatively newly refurbished which is a plus point. However, there were no mini fridge or a closet like other Hotel 81, and the oft criticism of this chain hotel rooms being used by the hour for adult purposes was quite evident on this property. It is in at a dead-end street and is quiet and secluded.

A lot of nice restaurants in the area and perfect location of you are tired of the high rise of the city

The hotel location is convenient, easy access to MRT stations and buses. The bedding is really good quality however the hotel is outdated near refurbishment especial the toilet/shower room.
