Royal Hostel Singapore

I think Royal Hostel is a good place to stay there.

Check-in at the other side of the road. No eating & drinking in the room. Bathroom is separate from the room. Easy check-out & access via codes.

Nice ambiance, near to city landmark. Over all, the experience was pretty cool.

I booked 2 nights here with a good price I guess, but really disappointed because they did not change the bed cover, the room is old and dirty, the bathroom still has dirty toilet paper on the floor. They even don’t open the air conditioner until night. That’s why I decided to leave sooner without refund. The cheap price means everything is not clean like that. The location nearby Chinatown MRT is comfortable.

The check-in process was very easy, the staff were very friendly, the place was clean, the location was very strategic because it was in the center of souvenirs and culinary in Chinatown.

Great place to stay and in city MRT!

The staff is quite friendly, for lights and air conditioning are limited to use during the day, no instructions on how to get out of the dormitory, not tech-savvy, so when you are in the dormitory you don't know how, you can't press the number/pin, you were told by a dormitory friend to press the button and then you can open the door, for those who bring suitcases, be prepared to tow them from below to the dormitory floor, besides that, to enter the dormitory you must have an access code, for the situation, the royal hostel is better than the royal lodge, for the bed, be careful if you get the top bunk because the distance between the mattress and the ceiling is very short, even sitting will be hit by the ceiling, I am 155cm tall, so when sitting I have to bend down so as not to be hit, the electric plug is not strong enough, charging for hours is not full, the reading lamp is also dead, and the top bunk is very close to the AC, the pillow is flat and not fluffy, and be prepared to be hit by the AC because the distance is very close, about 50 cm from the tip of the foot, it is recommended to bring a long, versatile padlock for lockers if you want to leave something in the locker when you leave. drinking water is not provided in the dormitory, so you have to bring your own money

Strategic location, because of late check in, and the reception is not open for 24 hours, coordination using WA, there is no elevator here, all stairs, there are 3 floors if I'm not mistaken, suitable for those who are just sleeping, the multipurpose room is very narrow, only 1 long chair is available at the Royal hostel. the self-check-in instructions are quite nerve-wracking, because I'm not used to how to enter the door code, and I'm still confused about where the button is, at first I went wrong to the royal lodge dorm which is across just a few steps, finally I was able to enter the designated dorm, here everything is self-service, no towels, amenities such as soap, shampoo, toothbrush are not available, so you have to bring your own.

Bad experience before leaving for Singapore. I ordered 1 ticket for 2 people here, and it was also listed on the Traveloka ticket for 2 people, but it turned out that the hotel policy was that 1 ticket was only for 1 person, so if I still wanted to stay here, I had to add 1 more ticket which I don't think is worth it if I'm staying with my partner and bringing a lot of luggage. It's better to just book a hotel that's definitely safe, a little extra will definitely be comfortable and the service is good if it's a real hotel.

The room was very small and the bunk bed was not clean. The stairs to the upper bed felt a bit unsafe, and there was some trash near my sleeping area. The other guests were also quite noisy, so it was hard to rest. However, the location is good and very close to the MRT, which is convenient for getting around.

The receptionist was incredibly helpful and kind, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the room itself was not very comfortable. The ladder to the upper bunk bed was hard to step on. I also found some trash near my bed.

Affordable place for budget traveler

Good enough for budget traveller. But the bathroom/toilet was not so comfort. Overall it’s a good option for strategic place.

Staff was very friendly and helpful

The aunty is really friendly and welcoming. The accommodation is located in the middle of Chinatown and is easy to find, just a few steps to the MRT.

It's okay. The price is quite cheap. I booked it specifically to watch F1 (some people in the room also came because of F1) (I booked a year in advance). The check-in staff was kind and chatted with me after I told them I was Thai. In front of the hostel is the way down to the MRT, very convenient, no need to walk far. There are a lot of restaurants around, I don't know the prices (but there's a 7-Eleven not far). Next to it are a lot of souvenir shops with cheap prices. The bathroom is clean and someone cleans it every day. You might get a good roommate because when I went in, I really just slept. Everyone tried to make themselves as quiet as possible so as not to disturb each other. The room was almost always dark. There is a hair dryer, a refrigerator, and soap and shampoo (I'm not sure if they're from the hostel, but they're in the bathroom. If they are, it's very convenient and you don't have to bring them too much. However, there are no towels provided, so you have to bring your own. Check-in and check-out are easy (fill out the form online). The only downside is that it might be random because I got a metal bed and slept on top, so it made some noise. I'm not sure if it was a wooden bed or not. The blanket also smelled a bit. I should have been able to change it, but I didn't ask for it. P.S. All of the above are female-only rooms. I'm not sure if the dormitory rooms are the same because they seem to be in a separate building, so the entire building is female-only (I think. I didn't see any men).

Right next to the train station so it's very convenient to get around; there are many good restaurants nearby, worth trying. The downside is that there's no elevator.

I think all of you should check in to this place.

Very convenient, very close to my accommodation. It's easy to get around, and there's always food available in the area. It's clean and the service is excellent. The price is affordable, so you can explore the city without worrying about transportation. It's right next to the Chinatown MRT station, which is great!

It was my 2nd time staying here, this time in a loft private room, so I had the room for myself. It was nice and I enjoyed my stay so much, with a very strategic location, I liked it best.
