Excellent clean, individual rooms, which they let us check into early. Place to leave our bags on arrival and leaving days. Really friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of hot water for the showers. Good communal area downstairs.

Clean, comfortable & very convenient location in the old town! Staff very helpful, and, although l didn’t have breakfast, the adjoining restaurant served very good local cuisine!

I had a wonderful stay at hostal Fernando. I am a single female traveler and found the area to be very safe. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, it was very clean and was exactly what I was looking for during this trip. Great price as well. I would recommend it as well as stay here again. The staff also spoke English which was very helpful :)

The room was tiny, but enough for me traveling by myself. The breakfast was the usual pastries, cold cuts, cheese, cereal, yogurt, and some fruit. It was fine. The staff was good and the location in the Gothic area was great. It was near a couple of subway lines and about a 10 minute walk to the beach.

Older well-maintained hotel. Clean everywhere. Hotel is located close to attractions. Staff is friendly and attentive. Breakfast is great. One small drawback on location is accessibility with taxis.

Good location

Ideal for short stay.

I paid the price of "Economy Twin Room, 2 Twin Beds" for one person to stay, but I got a "Single Room". When I checked with the staff, I was told in their system I booked a "Single Room", but when I showed them the picture of "Economy Twin Room, 2 Twin Beds" of my reservation, I was told they based on the room type. I disagree, I told them when I saw “Single room”, I thought it might mean single person to stay in the hotel, as a traveller, I didn’t care too much what’s a room is called, I only pay attention if the picture of the room was I looking for. Then the staff and I tried to book again to see the outcome from booking Single room vs Twin room. We found if we book a "Single Room" it would show the picture of "Single Room" and if we book "Economy Twin Room, 2 Twin Beds", and it will show “"Economy Twin Room, 2 Twin Beds". Right now, my case is I paid "Economy Twin Room, 2 Twin Beds" with the picture of "Economy Twin Room, 2 Twin Beds", but it showed “Single room” in the detail. I think something might be wrong with system, but I am not the person to pay the error. I need get the different between the Single and Economy Twin.
